What's up with all my skateboard bees?

Just got through checking my discord chats from last night with one of our own; legendary skater and free to play game developer here in the space @web-gnar with the play to earn 2D skateboarding platformer: Quest for Stoken @stoken.quest

As I was shooting some ideas for growing my own channel & our community, I discovered that there were some details missing from the overall growth plan.

Skatehive community participation and sponsorship of HSBI has been minimal!

This post is meant to educate members of skatehive community on the importance of HSBI and how to attain sponsorship.

Hive Stake Based Income (Hive SBI) is an account-based curation program. You sponsor accounts for regular ongoing curation, and then you receive back curation rewards as upvotes on your own content. This empowers both accounts to earn a sustainable crowdfunded basic income.

Why stoke the HSBI flame???

If you have ever posted to skatehive and received rewards then you know how fruitful this community is based off the efforts of skaters like you.

The wild thing is that we aren't even tapped into this layer one rewards mechanism called HSBI.

The official skatehive community account has ONE unit of HSBI and our fearless leader @knowhow92 is holding 30 HSBI units.

According to the HSBI website the recommended balance for daily curation is 100 HSBI.

We recommend that you target at least $3 worth of Hive SBI levels to receive a weekly upvote, or $20 worth for a daily upvote. (Divide 20 by HIVE price in USD to estimate HSBI total needed). Lower subscription levels will still receive regular upvotes, but they will be less frequent.

Automated Stake Based Curation Will Grow This Community

Our goal is 100 HSBI because daily posting is the most consistent way to improve our accounts reach and our overall presence here.

This post is a @skatehive call to action for all members to sponsor the skatehive account with HSBI empowering the community with automated stake-based curation.

I am also using this post as a formal introduction to propose the idea of adding HSBI rewards to Skater of the Week rewards in the future.

As of right now I am also actively looking for HSBI Sponsorship if anyone is willing to trade 1:1 drop a comment and show some stoke!

I am sponsoring skatehive with its first unit and hope to see you all show your stoke in this way as well.

How do you sponsor skatehive with HSBI?

There may be more than one way but the easiest way I have found to do it is through Peakd.

Login to Peakd and go to your Wallet page then click on the Others* tab in the bottom left.

You have to be holding at least 1 HIVE which will be used to create the HSBI unit 1:1 with the account that you sponsor.

As you can see here, I sponsored our friend web-gnar with 1 unit of HSBI.

The 1:1 unit dispersion makes this program extremely beneficial for accounts with a low balance.

I am personally looking forward to trading 1:1 HSBI Sponsorships with all active members of skatehive and I am sure that web-gnar would appreciate some sponsorships for Quest for Stoken
