Hi Folks
In every cloud is a silver lining
This may, by some seem inconsiderate and inappropriate.
However
While the world struggles with a Virus that spreads like wildfire, and the hyped up panic that is a result.
Consider this
Air pollution that is created through Factories, vehicles, heavy industry etc, contributes to the death of tens of thousands of people every year
A recent study shows
Just in the last two months there has been a drastic reduction in the air pollution
“The two months of pollution reduction, Burke calculates, has probably saved the lives of 4,000 children under 5 and 73,000 adults over 70 in China. That's significantly more than the current global death toll from the virus itself.”
And that is just China
This is a time that our planet can breath a sigh of relief, a time where it can consolidate its oxygen production, and maybe a time when we can possibly see a reversal in the destructive behavior that we as guardians of this planet engage in.

Last week, I taught several of my Japanese students the proverb, "Every cloud has a silver lining." We came up with several "silver linings": (1) the reduction in air pollution, (2) public transport is less crowded so it's easier to get a seat, (3) fewer foreign tourists clogging the streets and ignoring Japanese etiquette (!), (4) my daughter is enjoying her extra holidays (not necessarily a silver lining for me!), (5) Japanese yen strengthened against the UK pound :), (6) lots of cheap shares and crypto...
Exactly David, The positive outcome of this worldwide shake up is that it changes perception. one of the biggest influencers of enculturated paradigm is culturally created ideologies.
The Paradigm shift is happening right now, it may take a while to become set as a new paridgm, but the shift is being enforced upon us, not necessarily by what we think, but certainly by Media representations and implied interpretations.
I said once that humans think that they are the smartest and sometimes we think that we can destroy Earth...
but the truth is that we can destroy ourselves, but hardly that we can destroy Earth, as it will regenerate... as it has done in the past... We are just a guest here... and not a very good guests...
