While honeycomb cells have many uses, they can store water, pollen & nectar. Plus it serves as a nursery for larvae. Pretty astounding stuff! 🐝

The bees use the comb for many different things as do people with bee's wax.

Bees also store pollen in the hive for proteins and fat to balance out the carbohydrates they get from honey. Also there's a part of the hive that is an essential benefit to the support of raising new bees.
