Team spirit is the first step to achieve victory and success. A great advantage can be gained in battles by using the abilities of the monsters in the best way and by enabling them to cooperate with each other in the team. So when I can form a good team with a good strategy, it is not difficult to achieve victory. In fact, this is the same in all areas of life, team spirit and teamwork are the keys to success. I try to use all the abilities of the monsters in battles as much as I can, so I can make my team more effective in battles. Let's examine this in a battle.

BATTLE

Battle Ruleset
Odd Ones Out
Heavy Hitters
Fire, Life, Water, Death, Earth, and Dragon splinter can be used
Mana Cap 43

  • Odd Ones Out rule : only Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.
  • Heavy Hitters rule : all Monsters have the Knock Out Ability.

Knock Out Ability : Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.

My Strategy

I like to use Monsters with the Taunt Ability in battles because it allows me to set more decisive strategies. All enemy Monsters target the Monster with the Taunt Ability, which lets me know which target the enemies will attack. I decided to use a Monster with the Taunt Ability in this battle, and if I could prevent it from being destroyed, it would be much easier for me to win this battle. It's really hard to destroy a dragon like Agor Longtail so I preferred it in this battle and it would become much more difficult to destroy it once some of its armor and health were restored each raund. That's why I decided to add Monsters with Tank Heal or Repair Ability to my team. In this way, I believed that I would have a better chance of winning this battle.

But I should point out that when the opposing player uses Monsters with the Scattershot Ability, this can upset my strategy.

  • Scattershot Ability : Ranged and Magic attacks hit a random enemy target.

LINE UP

Summoner : QUIX THE DEVIOUS

I prefer Quix the Devious as the Summoner as I will be using Agor Longtail in this battle, I also thought that speed would be very important in this battle, and I believed that reducing the speed of all enemy monsters by -1 would give my team an advantage. Quix the Devious reduces the ranged attack of all enemy ranged attack monsters by -1 and the speed of all enemy monsters by -1.

Position 1: AGOR LONGTAIL

Agor Longtail is a very powerful Dragon with Flying Ability, Taunt Ability and Void Armor Ability at level 2. It's really hard to destroy Agor Longtail in battle, especially slow Melee and Ranged Attack Monsters have a so hard time dealing damage to it. Since Agor Longtail has the Taunt Ability, enemies will have to destroy it first. And in this battle, with my strategy, I will make the destruction of Agor Longtail much more difficult.

  • Flying Ability : Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability.
  • Taunt Ability : All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
  • Void Armor Ability : Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health.

Position 2: TIDE BITER

Thinking that there might be Monsters with the Blast Ability on the opposing team, I added Tide Biter to my team and put him in the second position. Tide Biter is a Monster with Reach Ability, and Reflection Shield Ability at level 3.

  • Reach Ability : Melee attack Monsters with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team.

  • Reflection Shield Ability : This Monster doesn't take damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns, or Return Fire.

  • Blast Ability : Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

Position 3: MERDAALI GUARDIAN

I added Merdaali Guardian with the Tank Heal Ability to my team to make it harder to destroy Agor Longtail. Monsters with the Tank Heal Ability restore a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round. I put Merdaali Guardian in third position in the team.

  • Tank Heal : Restores a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round.

Position 4: RIVER HELLONDALE

In battles, I have to consider every possibility. In this battle, Agor Longtail could be destroyed, and to bring it back to life if destroyed, so I added River Hellondale with the Resurrect Ability to my team and put him in fourth position. In addition, River Hellondale has Resurrect and Inspire Abilities at level 2.

  • Resurrect Ability : When a friendly Monster dies it is brought back to life with 1 Health. This ability can only trigger once per battle.
  • Inspire Ability : Gives all friendly Monsters +1 Melee attack.

Position 5: SCAVO HIRELING

Scavo Hireling is a monster with the Repair Ability but no attack power. In this battle, the only reason I added Scavo Hireling to the team was because she had the Repair Ability, and I put her in fifth position.

  • Repair Ability : Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.

Position 6: SWAMP SPITTER

Swamp Spitter is a monster that can attack the target with ranged attacks and has the Repair Ability. The most important reason I added Swamp Spitter to the team in this battle was because it has the Repair Ability. I used 2 monsters with the Repair Ability on my team in this battle, I thought this could significantly prevent Agor Longtail from being destroyed. I put the Swamp Spitter in the last position.

  • Repair Ability : Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.

Battle Comments

In battles with the Heavy Hitters ruleset, using a monster with Stun Ability would have given my team a huge advantage, but I didn't have any Monsters with Stun Ability with odd mana cost in my deck.

  • Stun Ability : When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn.
  • Knock Out Ability : Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned.

In the first round, the monsters on the opposing team attacked quite effectively and managed to destroy Agor Longtail's armor, dealing 2 damage to its health. But Monsters with the Repair Ability on my team were restoring portion of its armor, while the monster with the Tank Heal Ability was restoring portion of its health, which was disrupting the opposing player's entire plan and it was driving the opposing team crazy.

>BattleGif.gif

It was really frustrating for the opposing team to have Agor Longtail's health and armor restored like this each raund, and I would never want to meet with such a strategy. Because that meant the attacks on Agor Longtail were futile. In this battle, the opposing team had no chance to destroy Agor Longtail, and even if they were able to destroy it, it would be brought back to life, which would be even more frustrating.

All rounds were like a repeat of the previous round, with the only difference being the monsters that died on the opposing team. My strategy worked pretty well in this battle, and we won this battle pretty easily.

battle040520232.png

The battle lasted 8 rounds, at the end of the battle all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed while all the monsters in my team were still alive in such a long battle. And all of them had almost the same health as when they started the battle. So by the end of the battle, they looked like they took almost no damage and only Agor Longtail's 4 armor was missing, which was pretty normal considering all the enemies were attacking it. This battle was a very good example of team spirit and teamwork. My team was really great in this battle. I recommend you to watch this wonderful battle from the battle link. I hope you will like it.
