"Illusion" is a song by British-Albanian singer Dua Lipa, released on April 11, 2024 through Warner Records, as the third single from her upcoming third studio album Radical Optimism. The first single from her Radical Optimism album, "Houdini", was released on November 9, 2023, and "Training Season" was released on February 15, 2024. And "Illusion" was released about 3 weeks before the release of her Radical Optimism album. By the way, the Radical Optimism album will be released on May 3, 2024.

Dua Lipa co-wrote the song "Illusion" with Caroline Ailin, Kevin Parker, Danny L Harle, and Tobias Jesso Jr. And it was produced by Danny L Harle and Kevin Parker. Additionally, the music video for "Illusion" was also released along with the song.

The music video for the song "Illusion" was directed by Tanu Muino. It was shot at Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc in Barcelona. Frankly, I can say that I liked the music video as much as the song. The song and music video remind me of the disco/dance-pop style of the 2000s, which I think is a good thing. Also, I added a behind-the-scenes video below.

"Houdini" is good but repetitive and a bit monotonous, and "Training Season" is pretty good, but I'd say "Illusion" takes things for the better and adds to the excitement for the Radical Optimism album. Dua Lipa really produces great works, but I think "Illusion" is one of her best songs and she gives a great performance in the song and also showcasing at her strongest. Also, "Illusion" has smash energy and reminds me of the disco/dance-pop style of the 2000s. Dua Lipa's vocals playfully capture the energy of the song and fit really well with the sleek and sparkling beat. It's also rich, punchy and grabs to the listeners in. The energy of the song "Illusion" increases expectations for the Radical Optimism album, which will be released on May 3, 2024.
