Undoubtedly, music and mood are closely related to each other, because listening to a sad or happy song can make us feel more sad or happy. This is not a secret, most music lovers already know this. According to a study, music not only affects our mood, it can even change the way we perceive the world.

Researchers at the University of Groningen investigated the relationship between mood and perception. The researchers let observers to perform a difficult stimulus detection task in which they had to detect schematic happy and sad faces embedded in noise. Additionally, mood was manipulated by means of music in the study. Faces that matched the music were identified much more accurately by observers. Additionally, even when no facial expression was shown, observers generally thought they recognized a happy face when listening to happy music and a sad face when listening to sad music. This reveals that music has a huge impact on what observers see. Research reveals that music can directly change the way we perceive the world. Link to the research

It's a really interesting study and I recommend you read the entire study. Frankly, the benefits of music are countless, I listen to all kinds of music depending on my current mood and music is really good for me. Although when I first read the research, it was quite interesting that it changed our perspective, when I think about it a little, it is not surprising that music changes our perspective on the world.

Music is truly powerful; it can change not only our perceptions but even the world.
