Can't Slow Down was a huge commercial success and became one of the best-selling albums, selling more than 20 million copies worldwide. Additionally, the album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), selling over 10 million copies in the United States. The album is Lionel Richie's best-selling album and one of the best-selling albums of the 1980s. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard album chart, spending 59 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 and 160 weeks on the Billboard 200. Additionally, five singles were released from the album and all of them reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "All Night Long (All Night)" and "Hello" peaked at No. 1. Additionally, the album Can't Slow Down won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year at the 27th Annual Grammy Awards in 1985. To evaluate the album Can't Slow Down in general, it is a masterpiece. Lionel Richie's performance on the songs is truly amazing and he does it so wonderfully that the vocals, the music, the lyrics all fall into place perfectly. It's surprising that Can't Slow Down was left out of Rolling Stone magazine's "100 Best Albums of the Eighties" list. I don't know if they may have forgotten such a great album or if there is another reason.

The Can't Slow Down album has great songs like "Can't Slow Down", "Stuck on You", "Penny Lover", my favorite songs on the album are "Hello" and "All Night Long (All Night)".

Lionel Richie said he initially thought the song "Hello" was a little cheesy, but he changed the corny phrase to: "Hello, is it me you’re looking for?" became a massive worldwide hit and an enduring love song, resonating with listeners around the world.
