Voodoo is the second studio album by American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist D'Angelo. It was recorded in 1998 and 1999 at Electric Lady Studios in New York with a large cast of musicians associated with the Soulquarians musical collective. The album was released on 25 January 2000 through Virgin Records. It was produced by D'Angelo, DJ Premier and Raphael Saadiq. The songs in the album include Neo Soul, R&B, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Psychedelic Soul genres. The album contains 13 tracks and its length is 78 minutes and 54 seconds.

Voodoo was a huge commercial and critical success. And it debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, selling 320,000 copies in its first week, staying on the chart for 33 weeks. The album received acclaim from music critics and earned D'Angelo several awards. While it was at the top of many lists, it was chosen as one of the best albums of the year by numerous publications. Voodoo has sold more than 1.7 million copies in the United States and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Voodoo Neo Soul is a creative masterpiece and a creative milestone of the neo soul genre during its apex. In short, it stands out as the ultimate achievement of the Neo Soul era.
