Are You Concerned About Telegram's Exploit Issue Of MacOS Device’s Camera?

There is a security issue in Telegram that allows gaining access to camera systems of Apple macOS devices. Software engineer Dan Revah pointed out this exploit and that is a red flag. When you install Telegram, you usually give permission for a couple of access. It might be feasible to record from the device’s camera and save the file by injecting a dynamic library into the system.
According to Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn, malware has to be installed in the system to exploit, so by default, telegram users are not at risk in this case. It is more to do with Apple’s permission security that is given in the macOS app. Telegram spokesperson added that the concerning part is, it might be possible to bypass Apple’s sandbox restriction which is supposed to be there to prevent such abuse and exploitation.
Telegram made some changes and it has been approved by the Apple App Store. Users who downloaded the app from the Telegram official website were not at risk. Nowadays, we have to use different apps on our devices. It is important to pay attention to which permissions you give during installation and later at any time.
If bad actors take advantage of any vulnerability and find out you have already given some permissions, that becomes easy to exploit and hack. There is no alternative to paying more attention to security and privacy that users are more concerned about.

It sucks to hear that it's an issue but I don't have Telegram on my Mac so I should be fine. If it starts to hit windows though, then I might have an issue.
