Weeklyish Running Update - and circuits and yoga, happy days!

So I'm very happily settled into my new running and circuits schedule now....

  • Easy 5K run on Weds and Sun
  • 20 mins Circuits on Mon, Tue, Thurs and Friday.
  • 20 mins Yoga around 4 evenings a week

I've got into this habit of heading to the cowork space around 7.30, then heading back at 10.30 to do a circuits session, and then breakfast after around 11.00, works for a nice intermittent fast schedule.

On Run days I work from home in the morning, run around 9.00 a.m. and then breakfast again around 11.00

Not really sure how to report the circuits, I'll maybe do that next time - I just take it easy with two rounds of a few different exercises - squats, press ups, chin up bar and overhead presses being the core. And abs of course, gotta have abs in there!

Holding the running steady...

Last Sunday I did my standard run....nice easy pace starting from near home.... suits me!

Spot the difference!

Weds I did something a bit different - I wanted to get into the cowork space early so I dressed in my running kit at 7.30 and ran straight from there, back home, then got changed and back to cowork, worked quite well...

Psychologically the second route is actually a bit easier, more park at the beginning and it ends just before my front door, it made a difference, might do this again!

I'm quite happy holding the running steady with two runs, trying to get faster just isn't fun anymore, it takes three runs, two of which have to be pretty punishing, maybe one day I'll get back to it, but for now I'm happy with more circuit training!

Well I'm not getting slower, at least!

And I've been killing the Intermittent fasting!

I've got into a nice routine of just TWO meals 2-3 days a week and 3 meals 4-5 days a week, squeezing that eating window.

And no beer or junk food, except a few sweets which are annoyingly all over the place at the cowork space, but I am losing the fat I gained over the last year.

Not that I'm fat, I just want my abs back, even at 50 it's vanity!

I can't see you getting fat. I do like my treats, but have to balance that with exercise. Enjoy your running.

I have never had abs.... I think I would look good with them though!
(I once had a fat percentage under ten - still no abs)

Where do you do those different exercises? At home or garden? I would like to have a chin up bar.

Hey, think of it this way, it's healthy to build muscle, so it's not vanity, it's for your health ;)
