Community Contest #10 : What Would You Do if You Met Your Favorite Fictional Character?

Checking myself out of all the characters I've come across and choosing the one that stands out the most to me was never an easy thing to do.

I have so many characters, but Simbi is still my favorite, I choose Simbi because she was such a good and caring daughter to miss Saromi, I remember back in my elementary school days, we never had a day without Simbi teaching, in the class, our class teacher used her role as an entry behavior, and on the other hand, a way of letting us, who were her students, know the exact way to behave at home and at school.

I am one of those people to whom childhood memories are so dear, and seeing this contest requirements, the only character I could see in my memory was Simbi, she is a character that is taken from Macmillan primary school book 2, and in the book, she was the main character.

with the way our teacher described simbi to us, it makes us want to be like her when we are at home, the teacher had always told us, that simbi never forget to wash her clothes on saturdays, she would sweep the house, and keep the environment clean, and she never took a long time to wash the dishes in the morning, to get ready for school early.

As a child, Simbi was my first favorite fictionnal character, and she is still my favorite, and I don't think anyone else will replace her.

Wherever i met simbi, i'm going to ask her first, where she buy all those school sandals, because many of my classmates used to go home and ask their parents to buy them the same sandals, like hers, but their parents would not find them in the market.

According to the reading, Simbi was mostly a happy girl, I would never forget to ask her where she got all her joy from, because I could remember, she was mostly happy, but we who were in the class didn't have as much joy as her, maybe she has a tree of happiness planted somewhere, so she should let me plug a little and eat, because even now, I'm no different, I'm happy one day and sad another day. ha ha ha..

I would like to know where she is working now, because most of us who read about her don't have a job yet, if she is working then she would still play the role of showing me the way, let me follow her to her job place and submit an application letter.

Earlier this week my brother was looking in my drawer for a pen, he saw the Macmillan Elementary school book, he laughed and brought it out, at this point, he had completely forgotten what he was looking for, then he started talking about Simbi, with a smiling face, I heard it from him, when he said that "Simbi is not aging a bit, when we, the people who read about her some years ago, are adding up in age" I was just looking at him, and I also laughed.

He talks like Simbi is ever someone we can see, "where are you going to see Simbi?" I asked him, you know most of the things we used to do at school were hers.

On the day, we came to the chapter in the book, Simbi was playing with a rope, all the girls in the class began to play with a rope too, during recess, it was a pity for the boys, because such a game was not mainly for us, and then we envy the female students, because it was just Simbi, the class has at that time, as a fictional character, and when it's break time, the boys couldn't play some of the games Simbi plays, it would be improper, if we did.

I will also ask her why she did not like to eat a lot, because I remember when miss saromi, bought two fowls for the family, in the Christmas season, Simbi did not seem to jump and jubilate for that, meanwhile, in my child age, when once I see that my Day or mom bought a chicken for the house, I will be very excited about it, and I will rush to do whatever is expected of me, I will clean the house, so that mom will not be sad with me, in any way.

And above all, I will tell Simbi that she is a celebrity, because most of the people who have gone through primary education and have studied the macmillan primary 2 book see her as a role model.

I will used this privilege to invite @dwixer, @hopestylist, @neruel and @maydelvalle to this contest, you are blessed.

This man made me remember Eze goes to school and the rest of the macmillan stories we read as children.

You are right, Simbi, was the clear definition of a good child, I think I modeled my entire childhood around her too because I was too good a girl to be true 😂😂

You picked the right character, and even though we have all aged but Simbi hasn't, I hope our children will find good characters like her in their time to model after as well

I wish you the best in the contest.

So touching @iskawrites I am smiling reading your comments, if I stop without saying, you have successfully open my 32, just knows that I am a terrible liar,😊 each time I looked at the macmillan book, I feel I can turn back time, I will want to engage in those words from the teachers in classroom again, and pretend like I am a child inside the class, just to follow along with everyone and enjoy the story of Simbi.
Thanks a lot for spicing up my day, with your lovely comment.

Ah! Simbi is a character that I think some of our children might get to read about unless they study abroad Hahah. I loved Simbi's character back then. She was one of my favorite. From how you talked about her, you indeed loved her. It's nostalgic. Amazing entry, and I wish good luck in the contest.
