HIVE PRICE ($0.40 Incoming) Leo Trade Volume Soaring

If we take a look at the graph displayed above we can see a very healthy steady growth for the HIVE Tokens Fiat value over the past 30 days. The HIVE Token has went from being valued at $0.29* USD to being valued at $0.38* USD (per token) within that same 30 day time period. If we take a look a little closer and focus on the past two or three days we have seen the HIVE token trying to test the $0.40 line while it teetered back and forth between $0.36-0.38+. As per the graph this seems (teetering back and forth but with a steady growth upwards) to be the tokens normal occurrence over the past month and even a little further back than that. If the HIVE Token continues to repeat this trend we should see the HIVE TOKEN climb to and beyond $0.40 within the week and possibly within days. However the cryptocurrency markets are very volatile so don't go banking on that as the opposite is also possible. With the increase in Fiat Value for HIVE and other cryptocurrency token/coins and assets the cryptocurrency world is buzzing with the thoughts of being at the forefront of a bull market. High hopes, wild dreams, talks of a mad man or is the bull getting ready to charge? I'll leave that up to you to decided.

LEO Token Leading The Way

If you are an investor or holder of the HIVE TOKEN its likely you know about the Hive Blockchain second lawyer tokens. In the off chance that you don't here is a very brief rundown. There are many second lawyer tokens on the HIVE Blockchain. They range from tip tokens to tokens awarded to the users of specific front-ends (and everything in-between). Majority of these second lawyer tokens can and do get traded on the Hive Dex's such as Leo-Dex and Hive-Engine. At the moment I would like to focus on the Front-End known as Inleo and its token that is known as LEO. While there are many second layer Hive Tokens the LEO Token has consistent volume in the trade market. Looking at the Leo Tokens graph below we can see a sharp spike in trades over the past 24 hours. This is because both the tokens HIVE and USD value has increased over the past days. There is a number of reasons for this. The obvious one is we might be at the start of a bull run. Another being LPUD (Leo Power Up Day) is just around the corner and those who participate might be purchasing tokens to get ready for a collective power-up. Powering-up allows Inleo community members to increase their standing within the Inleo community. And not to be outdone by the previous mentioned reasons, Leo Ads.

What Is LPUD?

Leo Power-Up Day or LPUD for short is a day in which the Inleo community collectively power-up some LEO tokens to show support for the LEO token and the Hive Blockchain in general. LPUD takes place the 15th of every month.

While its true that in most cases ads on sites are nothing but a giant pain to the end user Inleo might of made that pain a thing of the past. First off for those who might not of gave it much thought (as some don't) ads generate income for the person/business who placed them there. Its a big source of income for sites such as FaceBook, YouTube and many others. The same is true for ads on the Inleo site, they will generate income. However in the case of ads on the Inleo site the funds earned from them go to buy backs of the LEO token. This is a relatively new feature on the Inleo site and if I were to guess has contributed greatly to the recent buzz around the tokens trade volume increasing. Looking at the graph displayed above we can see over $8000 USD in trades have been made with the LEO Token (on Hive Dex's) over the past 24 hour period. Every Monday, USDT (ads payment) is sent to the LeoAds contract. It pools in that contract and then it is constantly reading the price feed of wLEO, bLEO, pLEO and LEO on Hive-Engine. It triggers a buy at random intervals (to avoid price manipulation by third-parties who could try to front-run it) and purchases LEO wherever it reads the cheapest price at that moment.

It then unwraps (if necessary) to native LEO on Hive. You'll then see that LEO pool up in the @leoads account.

The @leoads account is now running on a contract to create a second rewards pool for LEO POWER holders. This runs in conjunction with the existing rewards pool of 6,000 LEO per day that is earned by authors & curators on INLEO.

The LeoAds LEO pool is funded entirely by the contract that buys LEO. So if it buys 20,000 LEO per month, then that Rewards Pool is 20,000 LEO per month and it can be earned by LEO POWER holders. LEO POWER holders earn from this pool proportionally to the amount of LEO they have staked. Their stake also has to have been active within 30 days of the pool payout (active means that they've cast a bare minimum of upvotes in the prior 30 days). Passive stake won't be eligible (stake that hasn't recently voted on any content).
