Weekend Engagement - A Weekend In The Bathtub And At The Poolside

I was scrolling through my photos in my phone to see I had, because I realised my weekends were pretty routine and there weren't many "photo-worthy" moments. I mean, it's not a bad thing, I live a simple life, and weekends are just great for me to wind down after a week of hard work, to do some exercise, to go cafes to have some cakes and ice-cream.

But of course, there are bound to be more eventful and memorable weekends! So my sharing this time is a weekend that happened in May 2022. I actually splurged and booked myself a local staycation just to celebrate my birthday last year!

The stay was at Pan Pacific Singapore and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. So here's some photos to share!

Here's the hotel lobby, which was very classy. After all, it's a 5-star hotel. Check-in was very smooth as the hospitality industry haven't fully recovered from the pandemic yet. And because of that, the room rates were still reasonable.

The room was awesome! It had a huge comfortable bed, great view, and of course, the very inviting bathtub! I have a weakness for hotels with bathtub, because it's a form of luxury that I don't get to enjoy at home. Lol! Nothing beats just lying in the bathtub and let the water soak all your worries away (without worrying about the water bill, lol!).

They delivered a little box of birthday treats in the afternoon and I thought it was a very thoughtful gesture! It was a pleasant surprise so thumbs up to the team!

That's me, chilling at the pool, while I snapped this photo! As you can see, there weren't many guests and the pool was totally empty apart from a few guests at the deck chairs.

Moreover, the hotel was well connected to numerous malls in the vicinity so there were no issues with my meals. Oh yes, they had a wide spread of food for the breakfast buffet too!

All in all, it was a very good break and the hospitality by the hotel staff made this staycation enjoyable and memorable. But would I do it again? Looking at the current rates, I would think twice because they are actually pricey now. A quick check on their website showed that rooms are going at SGD 400+ before tax. With tax, and adding on breakfast, it would go well above SGD 500! Eeks!

Let's just say I paid much, much, lesser for my staycation. ;)
