Spicy Beef and Bell Pepper stir fry

Happy Friday everyone..

For all the foodies, due to the COVID affect, many of us were not able to visit our favorite restaurants or have the food that we like. Under the circumstances, the best we could do is, prepare foods at our house and deal with it. Even though it might not be perfect but at least we tried! As of now, the usual activities of people are coming in affect, which is offices are opening, people are starting their jobs, restaurants are slowly opening by maintaining hygiene and hopefully we will see everything back to normal, soon!

Today's item is one of my favorite. It is a dish made by my brother. Yep, he does likes cooking from time to time. His abroad life did sure teach him a lot. Btw the first time he made it, I was kind of curious to taste and after that I tasted it, it became one of my favorite item on my food list : ) This will not be an in depth cooking process post but I will try to cover as much details as possible.

For making this item we are going to need :

  • Beef meat (boneless would be better)
  • Capsicum (1 piece, depending on the amount of beef you would take)
  • Onion (2 big size)
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Black pepper
  • Green chili
  • Cornflour (two/three spoon)
  • Soya Sauce
  • Vinegar
  • Chili Sauce

Boil the beef with vinegar and soya sauce for around 10-15 minutes. Until it is half cooked. We will need it on our next steps. Due to the boiling the meat will become slightly sour and it would add an extra taste to the meat once it is ready for the next step. Once you are done with boiling, keep the stew as it will come into use on the next steps.

Since our meat is getting ready, let us prepare the other items. Capsicum sliced into pieces not so big and not in so small sizes either. As you can see in the image. The same goes for onion as well. We will keep it slightly bigger in size than regular way. In addition to that we will chop the garlic off in smaller pieces by which it can mix well together with the beef. The taste needs to be there of garlic. While in addition to that we all need chili to make it little spice. After all we are making this dish as spicy one. Keep them ready as will need them asap. Nevertheless, due to the additional vinegar and soya sauce the dish becomes little spicy, sweet, light sour and above all DELICIOUS.

Now this part is probably the crucial one. Fry the meat on a fry pan for some time and add Chili sauce and little bit of soya sauce as well. It will add the taste even more and bring the sour taste into full effect. Now stir it for some time until it gets ready. Once you feel like it done from that part the next step arises.

Now we need the onion and capsicum and other ingredients to add up on the beef. But before adding it up, we need to cook them slightly on a different pan so that they do not get over cooked along with the beef. So cook the onion and capsicum (half) and the rest would get cooked along with the beef.

Now that we have done all of the above, time to mix them all up. We will mix up the ingredients together. Meat, capsicum, onion, garlic, greenchili, black pepper and we will also add one/two tea spoon of corn flour to the stew (which we saved earlier) and mix the stew up and add it here. We need to cook them under mild heat for few minutes. Once you feel like it is done, serve it the way you like : )

Well, if I have to rate the taste of it I would give it 9/10. As it is home made and I need not have to worry about the hygiene and the way it is made, as of this moment this is probably the biggest concerns of us right now. Like I said the taste was a mixture of spicy, sour, little sweet and above it all I liked the taste of it. So there it is!

Well, if you may, you can give it a try if you would like to. If you do let me know how it went. Till then stay safe ladies and gentleman! See you soon.

THANKS FOR DROPPING BY.png

Best regards
Rehan
