Reverted to Stone Age....

How about a day without electricity?

That even, without any announcement! Believe it or not, our life is completely dependent on electricity. The use case of it has an impact on almost every activities in our life. So yeah, once its gone we are surely going back to stone age. Believe me or not it has happened 48 hours back with my city.

Facing something similar, to this particular situation was uncalled for. Accidents takes place without any warnings. The recent incident of an electrical power grid was on fire. Which took out the entire city which consists of 27 Wards two days back. It was like we were back to stone age. Since the power grid caught fire the effect of it was very nefty. The whole power grid had to shut down and many people were severely injured. There were almost 700 people who really worked hard to bring back some stability to the power grid, as soon as the situations started to settle down!

The effect of this hours were practically devastating. How, you ask? For starters the communication department took a massive hit. Which is, the cell phone went out of battery and there were no additional option for majority of the people to turn them back on. Which resulted in a massive halt in communicating department. Even my phone was dead for more than 24 hours. The only visible option was charging in vehicle and that is where I got to know, USB ports of vehicles should

The medical service also was the one, which took most of the hit. There were several reports where small hospitals ran out of back up and had to face some tough situations managing patients with serious cases. Although, within this tough situation every hospital did their best to support critical patients in every possible way.

Households had to face the problem of water and other supplies which were related to electricity.

So literally we went out on the stone age. No internet, no source of entertainment, no pain of cell phone, literally the whole city along with other places went into dark mode. Whatever we call it, this was a lesson for us all! The importance of electricity was to be known in those 48 hours of cloudness. Honestly, I was glad when everything came back as they were. And I literally thanked all those people who really worked hard from the start to the end of this to stop the fire and get everything back online. And here I am, writing the experience of these few dark hours of my life!
