My Sleeping Habit and Health Consciousness

People say health is important but I say sleeping is equally important. I mean to say we need to have discipline on sleeping hours and there has to be some schedule. What I mean to say is that we need to follow a proper schedule for sleeve which should not be less than seven hours in a day. We surely need 7 to 8 hours of sleep in a day which is one-third of the day. Sleep is important for our body and mind and lack of sleep results in many health-related problems. There was a time when I was not able to maintain my sleep cycle and I realized that during that time I gained weight and even I was feeling so restless many times.

Now I'm more focused on my health and I also make sure that every day I sleep about seven hours. Sometimes eight hours is not possible because there are many things to do so in that case I try to cover the gap in the day if possible. Even if there is no possibility to cover the gap then also I try to sleep for about seven hours. I sleep around 12 most probably but I will have to wake up many times at night because of my small child. I also take a power nap in day for 1 hour which helps me to stay relaxed. My sleep cycle is mostly dependent upon how my child sleeps so if he gets a sound sleep for about three hours which is the maximum in his case then I also get the same. Children usually sleep for two to three hours in one go and then they feel hungry so they wake up.

I follow the same pattern that Finnish leaves I also sleep but when he wakes up I have no other choice. I need to feed him and this is how I sleep in parts but it's okay because this is my life these days and will be the same for the next few years at least. Last year it was not good but now it is getting better month on month. This is improving because my child is growing and he sleeps for longer hours. Because I sleep mostly in parts a night so power nap is required in the daytime. Sometimes I'm not able to sleep properly at night and then I try to utilize the daytime but it also doesn't work sometimes because if my child is not sleeping then obviously I can't.

Despite all these challenges and hectic schedules I still try to manage as much as possible on my sleeping habit. I try to avoid screen time at night and this is why I try to create my article just after dinner or before dinner when I feel like I have some time. I'm not able to spend much time on the hive because many things are there for me in real life and I just can't compromise on the sleep. Now I also focus on some fitness activities every day and trying to lose weight which I know will take some time. Proper sleep is also required to reduce weight along with a healthy diet and I would say a decent sleeping habit is the key to better health.


The life of a mother is not easy because there are many things she has to do and being a mother I understand how it goes. While the last few years have been really difficult for me in terms of Health and an unorganized lifestyle now looks like things are getting in better shape. I expect that in the Next year or two, I will be in a better position because my kids will be grown up, especially the younger ones. My elder son helps me a lot and I hope that once my younger one grows up he will also become a good help for me on many things so I can focus more on my health and my sleeping habits. At least this is what I can expect and hope at the moment.

Sleep is very important to our health and happiness. We feel better when we get good sleep on a regular basis. It must be hard for mothers with very young children, something I will never experience but I can imagine it is not easy! But you're doing well and you say things are getting better each month, that's good to hear! :)

true that sleep is very important for better health. It was very difficult last year now since my son is 1.5 years so things are slightly better for me. Its not easy but now its fine because I am used to this and I hope that it will be even better in the coming months. Thank you so much for stopping by.
