My Introduction to the Ladies of Hive Community 🖤

Hello Ladies of Hive! 😊

How are you doing?

I´ve heard about the community Ladies of Hive a long time ago and wanted to write an introduction post to the community for the last months, but never got the time to actually do it. 😄
So I am finally doing this now!

I am on Hive for quite a while now and I think it´s great to have a community that boosts and helps female power, so I definitely want to be part of this! 🖤
I am looking forward to see what all the great people in this community have to offer. I am always happy to see on what kind of projects other people work on and how they become creative.

I want to use this first post to introduce myself to this community, and to show what I as a female do on Hive. 😊

🎵 Let me introduce myself.

I am Raven, a german musician who entered the crypto space around 5 years ago when I was looking for new and innovative ways to promote my music.
Music is a very tough business nowadays. Earning money with it is hard, making a living out of it is almost impossible with normal pages like Spotify. I cracked 1.5 Million clicks on Spotify last month, which is great - but in total this only earned me around 2.200 Euros. Thinking about how much work and time you need to put in to achieve 1.5 Milliion clicks (and that I live in a country with high living costs), this payment is far away from being able to live from.
And also, my music is and has always been a very special genre. And it was hard to find listeners in general. When I sent my music to radiostations or DJs, all I got as an answer (IF i even got an answer) was: "Yeah... Well you need to make more mainstream music for it to work. When you do so, come back and show us your stuff again."

I thought: "Ok. Thanks... NO."
I wanted to do MY stuff, I wanted to do ME, and not make some mainstream shit that so many other people were doing.

So I looked for new ways to promote my music, to find listeners, maybe even fans and to generate some income with it, to come closer to my goal to be able to live from music someday.

I found Atom Collector Records, which was a non crypto site at this time with a big discord community. All the musicians there were helping each other out and sharing news about ways to promote their music. This way I found my very first crypto page, Musicoin back then where I uploaded my music and actually earned a good bit for the first time! This was like: WOW I can earn money with my music and people actually like it and send me messages how great they find my music?
Followed by Choon which was another crypto music platform. I was one of the 10 best performing musicians on this page and my earnings were going CRAZY. But I was so unexperienced with crypto back then, that I didn´t pull out my earnings fast enough. And then, the page owners flagged my account (like the other 20 biggest accounts on the page) as cheating and disabled my account. So I wasn´t able to login or withdraw any earnings. 3 weeks later, the website was not working anymore and the project was gone completely.
This was a big hit in the face. I was earning real money for the first time and people loved my music, and then I was accused for cheating and the money was gone again? I lost around 8 ETH, which would have been ALOT of money for me and would have changed my life back then. I would have stopped working and only concentrate on music for a year or two. But well, I learned alot out of it. And this didnt keep me from trying again and again and never stop.

It doesn´t help anything to be sad, annoyed or to complain about this stuff. It only helps to focus on the good, focus on the future and just keep going. And this is what I do, even though a musicians life is hard, but I want this and I know I can do it.

To make this long story short. Through all these crypto communities, I finally found Steem and then got into Hive of course.
And what can I say?

I think I finally found my home here on Hive now. 💜

I feel as if I belong here. People love me and my music which is still an insane feeling. I never thought this could actually really happen. But it did. And I am so thankful for this! I am a big step closer to my goal to live from my music due to Hive.

It all started with me becoming a legendary card in the Hive game Rising Star and get my music on the ingame radio. The resonance was crazy. Each stream or Discord I entered, people were going crazy and acted as if I was a celebrity. 😄 This was very weird in the beginning for me and sometimes still is. But it feels great on the other hand.

Because it shows me, that I can really do it and it was right to hold on to this tough path for 9 years and just keep going, without seeing results and only frustrations.

Since then, I am trying to do my thing mostly on Hive and I added WAX last year.

I am very thankful for this awesome blockchain and its people! Every supporter and fan helped me to keep going, to get out of my depression and to see a sense in all that I did for so long. Thank you for that!! 💜🖤❤️

I´ve already wrote alot without even talking about Hive haha. But let me also write another part about Hive and what exactly I do here.

Hive and Crypto in general opened up sooo many new possibilities for me. Back then it was like: Ok make music, publish the song. The only way to earn was to sell or stream the song.
But now this is so different.

I don´t only earn with the final product but with the process to it.

I can blog about how I create my music. And the best thing is, I can connect my music to soo many other things like great artwork, NFTs, tokens, games, ...
The possibilities and my ideas are endless since I am on Hive. And often I wish I could clone myself to build more of my ideas at the same time. 😂

I could talk about all that I do on Hive forever. But I will try to summarize the most important points for you here:

▶️ $RAVEN

I made my own token on Hive as an entry to my fanclub. People who hold my token get special gifts, mostly NFTs and music.

I think I am the first creative person who tokenizes myself on this blockchain. If you want to read more about the project, you can do so here.

▶️ NFTs

I started an NFT collection which is constantly growing. With NFT packs, blends and everything that you can do in the form of an NFT. I just love this flexibility that NFTs give me, connected to true ownership for my fans!

Due to still limited NFT possibilities on Hive sadly (if you don´t want to pay aloooot of BEE), I do most of my NFTs on WAX, because the range of different functions is much bigger there. I hope that changes someday, so that I can do all my NFTs on Hive.

▶️ Discord Server

I started my own Discord Server last year. I was hesitating to do that in the beginning because it is alot of work, but more because I was afraid that no one might be interested in joining... But I am very happy that I started it actually. Because I have more than 200 people in my community and I just love these people. I have nice conversations every day, and they help also to get through tough times. 🖤

And I even found people that like my stuff so much, that they now work with me on my projects or help me with moderating the discord or building bots for me. That is insane!

▶️ Hive Music VIdeo Foundation

Together with @solymi I founded the Hive Music Video Foundation. The main purpose in the long run is to give Hive musicians more exposure for their projects, helping them with making their own music video, even if they don´t have funds themselves. Right now we are in the phase of building up funds for that.

We created an interview posts series where we interview a new Hive musician every week to let people know about all these great artists that we have on this blockchain! We further just started a new post series about relevant information on Hive for musicians and music lover. This could be anything from music communities to music services.

▶️ Upcoming Projects

I am currently working on a project that I´ve wanted to do for a long time and that is very important for me: A charity project on Hive.

I don´t want to tell too much upfront, but since I suffer from various mental diseases which have been affecting me all my life and made my life a mess and very hard at times, I want to give back to people who suffer from the same shit than I do.

I want to use my small name and make a change for these people. So I am working on something to collect donations and earn money which I can give to charity organisations I want to support. I will have more information about this soon.

Further on, I am working on a game project right now. I love games, I have been a big gamer all my life. So it was an honor to be asked if I want to do the soundtrack and soundeffects for a new Hive game that is currently being built: *CraftInk*. The first packs can already be bought, the game is still in development and will start with a mini game this year soon.

This is alot of work, but I am very excited about it and can´t wait to play it myself! 😃

▶️ Off Blockchain

I am producing music for a copyright free music label - PANDA BEATS.

We started this, because we know how hard it is for streamers on YouTube or Twitch to find music which they are allowed to use in their streams without getting any copyright problems. That´s why we started to create this big library of copyright free music which is all produced by ourselves.

All our music is free and can be used as background music in your streams without having to fear any legal problems. You can stream on all major platforms, or even download all the songs for free on our website.

Wow, this was a long post. Longer than I intended it to be in the beginning. 😄 Well, sorry about that. But I didn´t want a 5 sentence introduction. I hope this gave you an impression of how I use Hive for my projects, and hopefully can add some value to this blockchain Thanks for everyone who actually read that through and is interested in getting to know me!
