I Won Hive Power Up Day 🏆 Being Thankful || IAAC #26

Where to start. Where to start. Ah, yes, the title. While yesterday was about bad customer service, today is all about being thankful. This week I placed first in the Hive Power Up Day according to the criteria. This means that, contrary to popular belief, I do actually win things from time to time. In fact each participant that powered up on October first is a winner, as the value of Hive as a platform will keep rising. Even that 10HP power is a small investment towards a future of creativity that earns you a little something on the side. Or maybe even as a main source of income. People are already doing it.

But as I said earlier, and in the spirit of the festivities, today is all about being thankful. Sometimes in our lives we may get the feeling that we're not getting anywhere. That we're not making any progress or reaching any goals. This feeling is usually even more true for the ambitious among us. And sure, if you're measuring day by day, you won't notice any differences. This is why every now and then you need sit back, relax and evaluate. The best way to do this, for me personally, is to pick a long enough period, like 5 years, and see for yourself where you were 5 years ago. Take with whatever you have learned so far and you can project where you will be in 5 years time.

Another occurrence may be with people who are only focused on the main goal. To you I say, be aware of the small accomplishments along the way, and you will eventually notice that the journey is as essential in your development as reaching the goal. And when you realize these observations, be thankful and smile.

Continuing the theme of giving thanks, a shout out goes to @traciyork for taking the lead in #HivePUD. Not going to spam tag everyone else who put in their efforts, but they know who they are, from the organizing team, to the sponsors and of course the participants.

Also special shout outs to @jeanlucsr for the support from the beginning, @dmilliz and @justinparke who provided a comfortable and welcoming starting environment in the ReggeaJAHM Community. Last but not least the rad teams and participants behind @thisisawesome and @iamalivechalleng.
