MCGI THANKSGIVING SERVICE ON 25TH OF NOVEMBER, 2023.
In the teaching we were meant to understand the importance of brethren to continue in the love of Christ because that is the only way to make God know to our world Ephesians 3:10 makes us to understand that the only way the wisdom of God and his manifold power can be manifested to the world is through the love that we should to the people around us.
Colossians 3:15 said that we should let them peace of God almighty rule in us and in our heart we should not glory in our own flesh for everything we have ever accomplished in life comes from God and we should learn to return the glory back to him Colossians 3:17 always recognize that God is the doer of all good things and it isn't Him who has given us the power and wisdom to do every good thing as seen in Jeremiah 9 :23 let no man glory in his own wiseness or might or wealth but we should glory in the Lord and recognize his as the person who has given us the might to accomplish all things Jeremiah 9:24.
2 Corinthians 13:7 encourages us to abstain from every form of evil both in action and in words but only do that which is approved of the Lord that which pleases him we should be honest with everything we do to God and unto man honesty is the key that builds trust God cannot entrust in our hands his kingdom wealth if we are not trustworthy so we should learn to live our lives to the glory of the Lord rendering every thanks to him for his works in us and what his doing for others through us also in Jeremiah 9:4 tell us not to trust in any man when you put your trust in man you will be very disappointed because man is not stable as God when you put your trust in man God removes his hand from us.
I also learnt that we should constantly walk in steady obedience in the word of God the word of God is a guide and instruction for us to live a fulfilled life here on earth we should make God proud of us by being humble and helpful to one another there should be unity in helping one another We should be humble to the leading of God and towards people we should be proud of God as he is proud of us 2 Corinthians 1:14 we should also know that every helping hand we give is from God and when you help others we are doing the will of God. The life we live is not ours but of Christ Philippians 1:21 we are to live in the spirit and not of the flesh being lead by the spirit of God let us constantly walk not to the pleasing of our flesh but in the leading of the spirit of God Philippians 1:22 and in verse 25 of Philippians God said if we continue to walk with him he will abide with us and we will live in the joy of our faith so it is good to continue in walking obedience of God Philippians 2:12 encourages us to constantly walk in obedience to God not with eye service or to please man whatever we're doing both in the secret and open it should be in the honour of God don't only obey God when it is pleasant to you even in our inconvenience we should follow with faith like our father Abraham did
In Conclusion
Learning to be at peace with all men is one of the instructions from heaven that we must obey loving one another helping people when they are in need being lead by the spirit of God all these we should do and also remember to give God back the thanks and not claim the glory for ourselves our God is a jealous God who cannot share his glory with anyone one let men see God in us and glorify the name of the Lord.
What I learnt
° I learnt that we should always be at peace with God, ourselves and Man
° Showing love and care to our brethren is one the ways we can make God proud of us
° Abstain from any evil that will corrupt our lives
° In everything we should learn to give God all the praise and acknowledge him to be the doer of all good works
