MCGI THANKSGIVING SERVICE 6TH APRIL, 2024
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY Indeed THE MCGI THANKSGIVING SERVICE was a glorious service it is always a life transformation encounter fellowshipping with the church of God and also sitting under the teachings of Brother Daniel Ruzor Who encourages us to continue doing the good will of God and keeping the true doctrine of God so that we will receive the good gift of God
Let us walk according to the teachings of Christ and doing only what the scripture said we should do and abstain from every thing the scripture said we should not do
For example the scripture said let Everyman who doesn't work let him not eat we should not be sluggish to work PROVERBS 6:6 when we do not work and become lazy it will lead to poverty but when we are diligent to doing the works of our hand we will become rich and prosperous as we seen in PROVERBS 10:4-5
Also Let's not say we are contented with what we have and decide not to work but then we should remember that an idol man is the devil's workshop and when devil creeps into our mind he begins to bring in negative thoughts like stealing lying and all other evil ideas that will make us go out of God's purpose for us that is why we must keep our mind and hand busy against the will of the devil
Also we understood that every good gifts comes from God JAMES 1:17 we should desire the good gifts of God which is to love one another and do good to everyone especially people in the household of faith let our lives that we live be able to win souls to the kingdom of God let it not be a life that might discourage people from following God rather let our lives be righteousness before God and man 1 PETER 2:2 and also we should desire the gift of prophecy to speak to the edification of the children of God 1 CORINTHIANS 14: 1,3
And to the things the scripture commanded that we should not do we should abstain from these things the scripture have instructed us against like having a love for money which is an evil act having a love for money can lead to a lot of bad actions because it will make us want to do everything just to get and fulfilling that desire
1 TIMOTHY 6 :10 made us understand that the love of money is the root of every evil once it creep into the heart of man
Looking from the example of what happened to Ananias and Sapphira in ACTS 5:1 after selling a portion of land the wanted to give to God they withheld a little part of the money because of their love for money which lead to their death so having a love for money can lead to ones death bible said we cannot have two masters at the same time is either we love God and hate Mammon (money) but we understand that choosing to love God is life while choosing to love money can bring death depression frustration and sorrow
Brother Daniel also thoughts us to be aware of false prophets whom their agenda is just to scatter the flocks of Christ GALATIANS 2:4 like devil their father they go from place to place teaching a false doctrine misleading people and turning their heart away from the will God we should be guided not to fall into their traps 1 JOHN 3:10 they sow misconduct in the mind of people but they bible said by their fruits we shall know that is why it is important we should know what the scripture truly says so when we start hearing anything outside the teaching of Christ we can be able to discern
LESSON I LEARNT
√ 1 TIMOTHY 3:15 We should learn how to behave as children of God especially in the house of God let our behaviour be acceptable to God a life that will win soul to the kingdom of God and not push them away
√ JOB 23:11 Let our foot be guided by his word so it will direct us and not lead us into sin and destruction
√ PROVERBS 28: 20,22 We should not be in a hurry to get wealth by doing things that will not bring glory to the kingdom of God we should understand that it is God that makes wealth and also makes poor so let's try not to do things in our own wisdom because our wisdom is foolishness to God rather we should be diligent in our work so we can prosper
√ 1 JOHN 5:16 Encourages us to always pray for one another especially our brethren who have committed a sin that is not unto death we should pray that the devil will not lead them astray and that they should be brought back to the kingdom of God
