I think one of the fear of government is the fact that it might dethrone the authorities government have in some sector and that is why they are fighting Web3

They can fight but it will not work. To start, governments are losing confidence in a big way from populations around the world. This is going to hurt them in the long rum and aid in the transition away from centralized entities.
