I don't have much problem with decision overload, but I do have problems with indecision time... Losing my time to make a decision about something... But, it is true that some decisions need more time to get done, and others don't...

But, it is something that I should work on...

Thanks for a great topic in this Mindful Monday!

My apologies to you also for my tardy reply...catching up on curating is a full time job at times lol...:)

Indecision can be just as much of a problem & I suffer from that as well. For me personally, it all depends on what it is...usually it stems from what @jacoalberts said above, the fear of making the WRONG decision. And sometimes I just have no idea what I want so I tend to procrastinate until I know. But this isn't the most effective way to handle it since my memory is like a sieve & I tend to forget...

Thanks for your great comment & support. You are the best!🧡

Awesome post! Wow, 35000 choices per day? I never knew it is so many!

I am always quite interested in the topics of time management, decision-making, and productivity. You've nailed them all in one post. Well done!

I like the idea that you stress making those important decisions as early as possible. As you say, it saves you a lot of energy to be productive in other areas during the rest of the day.

If I may add something I've read in an article recently... Many people try to avoid making decisions out of fear that they will make the wrong decision.

Once you are faced with having to make a decision, make the decision based on the facts you have at hand. Once you have made the decision, make peace with it, and move on. Even if things don't turn out exactly the way you wanted, be confident and make peace with the idea that at the time that you had to make the decision, you made the best choice/decision that you could, based on the circumstances and information available at that time.

There is no sense in getting depressed or living in regret about past decisions. If it was an obvious silly decision, learn from it, and apply that experience in the future. If you didn't have enough information to have made a different decision, you have made the right decision based on the information you had available at that time.

Whatever decisions you have made in the past, make peace with it, and move on.

Thanks for sharing this great information with us!

Well, I truly am late on replying. Life has been nuts so catching up on curating now lol....,my apologies!

What an awesome comment. I enjoy reading your replies very much. :)

If it was an obvious silly decision, learn from it, and apply that experience in the future. If you didn't have enough information to have made a different decision, you have made the right decision based on the information you had available at that time.

I really like what you said here...this is very true. If you have made a decision based on whatever information was available to you at that time, you HAVE made the best decision. No one can predict the future & things are always changing regardless. Change is really the only constant. So, yes, have peace with it after it is made. This was a very good point...

Decision making is a tricky thing - a lot of it has to do with mindset as well. Sometimes factual information has its place; other times, it may be from an emotional standpoint, which will serve the best...it's a pretty interesting phenomenon.

I always enjoyed studying about time management, etc as well. I am always looking for ways to tweak my time as well. :)

Thanks so much for watching & for being supportive! I appreciate you! :)🧡
