If You Don't Ask, You Will Never Know - Simple Logic #2

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

I have probably talked about this earlier, but I think that it is a too important topic to be pushed under the rug... Also, I have decided to put this vlog post into my Simple Logic Series, as the title looks so obvious, but in reality, we forget that...

We are all different, and we don't react or respond to the same thing in the same way... For example, I remember very clearly the words of my language teacher: "There are no stupid questions... There can be only stupid answers..." Yes, I remember those words like they were said yesterday, but, on the other side, I bet that 90% of my classmates don't...

Also, I remember the silence after the new lesson that we have learned... and after the teacher's words: "Are there any questions?" There were a lot of confused looks, but only 2-3 hands in the air for asking...

Don't forget that that was in my childhood, and probably in YOUR childhood also... We are now ADULTS, and we should have a lot more rights to ASK questions... Yes, we are (maybe) smarter, but that doesn't mean that we don't have anything more to learn...

So, don't forget to ask questions as knowledge is POWER... Without knowledge, you are powerless...

Don't forget to check out the video... I didn't write everything... :)

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

I've never found anyone who's said no or hung up the phone when I called-I just asked. And when people ask me, I try to be as responsive, to pay that debt of gratitude back. Most people never pick up the phone and call, most people never ask. And that's what separates, sometimes, the people that do things from the people that just dream about them. You gotta act. And you've gotta be willing to fail, you gotta be ready to crash and burn, with people on the phone, with starting a company, with whatever. If you're afraid of failing, you won't get very far

I couldn't agree more with that... Taking ACTION is the crucial step... Without that, we are staying in dream state and "virtual reality"...

Thanks for the comment! Appreciate your time and support!

I dont have sound today, working in Office, But I believe there is no such thing as a silly question

If someone has a question, it is valid and will most likely have an answer, if not immediately then all it takes is a bit of a serach to find it

Working in support I get asked questions all the time and no matter how simple, mundane or difficult the question, I always give all questions as much commitment as each other.

If you have a question then ask it, someone will have the answer, or at least an answer

You are kind of "Master of Answers" as you work in support business :) And, God knows how that work can be hard... You have to know the answer to everything :)

Did that leave you without time to asking YOUR QUESTIONS? :)

Yes, your teacher was very insightful. I agree - there are no dumb questions. I think it's SMART to ask questions, no matter how small they are, because it decreases ignorance. And as we see, it's so important now more than ever. When we finally choose to do critical thinking & ask the questions that need to be asked, it can really educate someone & they can make better decisions as well.

Unfortunately, with the way society has conditioned a lot of us, if we ask a seemingly innocent question, people look at you funny. So, even I find myself apologizing for asking. No more - that is another way we can take our power back. If someone wants to chastise you for asking questions, that's on THEM, not you.

Great topic, once again, Zoltan! 💜 This is really important for people to step out of that fear of being judged & just ask. In most cases, someone else had the same question & was afraid to ask themselves. They will be glad you did! :) 💚

Well, you know me... I like to ask weird questions and make people uncomfortable... lol...

That's probably the reason of creating these kinds of posts... Maybe they don't get the engagement that I would like to see, but I'm sure that message stays someone in the ether...

Thanks for the great comment and support!

Great video and nice window shopping Zoltan, and asking questions is how we keep learning new things and even new perspectives to things we already know, #simplelogic, keep up your great work.

That's why kids are intelligent because they just ask and don't waste time in thinking whether should I ask or not.

hehehe... You got the point there... I remember when my son was 4yo, every sentence was a question... But, they are sponges at that time... and honest!

Great topic,

I always wonder on hive we newbies don't ask more questions when they don't understand something. I personally love to answer questions and I don't hesitate to ask myself. I believe that asking a question shows interest in you, in the topic and also a kind of curiosity. In some cases I looked up the answer myself just for the pleasure to be able to teach something to somebody :-)

I believe that asking a question shows interest in you, in the topic

I like when you just nail in the comments... asking is showing interest, and showing interest is caring... If someone cares about the other, it's a keeper :)

Thanks for the comment!

Yes, that's true. If you don't ask the question, you will never get the answer. I usually ask a lot of questions when I learn something new. Even the person you ask the question could not give an answer, you will find out the answer somehow. And you will learn more about it.
