50K Bitcoin! .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 157
I'm not a technical analyst, but I like to poke around charts drawing lines here and there... 😃 While yesterday I was doing that, I noticed a very low action in crypto, which isn't strange to see on the weekends, but this time, it was a bit different... Before the weekend, BTC went up from 42.5K to 47-48K... And then, the weekend came and action stopped... Usually, that is a sign that something big is expected on Monday...
Yesterday, my crystal ball turned on 😂, and I posted a short poll in @liotes Discord (that you see on the thumbnail), asking people when they expect to see BTC passing 50K... As you can see from that small screenshot, the first option was "tomorrow", which meant today! At the moment of writing this post, Bitcoin is playing around with that number, trying to push through (it was there, but pushed back under)... It is just a question of time...

What is the next BTC target? The ATH isn't that far away at all... IMO, these moments are probably the last train for accumulating BTC and other altcoins, as after this, it is a "profit-taking" time! Speaking of which, these moments are probably the best time to create your PLAN for profit taking... WRITE DOWN your selling price(s) and make a plan! And the most important, when the time comes, STICK TO YOUR PLAN!
It will be very, very hard to take profits when everyone would be in delirium! When the FOMO kicks in, you will say to yourself: "Maybe it is too early? Maybe I should take profits in a month or two? Maybe the price will go another 5-10x?" It happened to me, and if this is your first bull run, it will happen to you too! I have already got questions about my plans for taking profits and did I "moved" my taking profits numbers...
The message is always the same... FOMO and FUD are real and they will mess up with your emotions! Try to ignore them by following the plan... If you doubt your plan, ask yourself this question...
I created the plan when I was cold-headed and when the price goes up everyone is euphoric, and obviously, hot-headed... Is it possible that my mind is clear-thinking in the full-FOMO mode?
Back to the Workerbee report numbers!

Back to those good-old-backed tokens by other crypto... Alongside the CTPSB token, the other one that is good for "preserving" the value of your HIVE is the AWESOME token... I have already given away these tokens as a bonus, so I suppose that most of you know what is it about... It is one of the tokens that is backed by HivePower and because of that, it is not that much volatile... The main disadvantage of this one is a large spread between the BUY and SELL price, but that's on potential investors to make it lower... As it is not a token that can be 10x in 3 days, not many people are interested in it, but IMO, it is a good way to "store HIVE value" by holding it...
There will be distributed 120 SPS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 117 BEE tokens and 0.6 AWESOME tokens as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 8.796%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 10.757%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Altcoins do follow BTC but after BTC makes a move.
Not parallel to it.
Sometimes ETH or LTC make a move before, but for years it was always the case..first BTC..then after when BTC gets settled for new range..come the Altcoins..

As I'm typing it passed 50k...possibly ath soon, but possibly will go down after for a while...100k this year? 80k..perhaps..we'll see.I would say chance is 50/50, but 2025? 70/30...interesting times.
Trading, profit taking should be without emotions involved.You follow your own strategy, that works for you and execute it without second thoughts.
I suppose that we all know the "theory", but as we are not robots, it is hard to execute things... It's not impossible, but it can be tempting... 🙂
And regarding predictions, I try to avoid them... :) The only thing that I know it's that it will go up... It's just a matter of time...

Hehehehe... It is a collective FOMO effect... and you can feel it... I suppose that after every cycle, you can notice it coming... I'm expecting a few calls from my non-crypto buddies in the next few days about buying BTC... 😃

I always say that I don't understand crypto trading the best, but last week I started swapping intensively on HE some small amounts of some tokens that I don't know what to do with, in swap.btc and that small amount just keeps growing and growing :)

I don't know but it has been moving sideways or lower for a while. So I do think a lot of the weak hands got flushed out. So it can definitely go up.

A lot of money is coming to Bitcoin from those ETFs, which we didn't have before... It could be the case that we will not see the same "cycle" next time and this could be our last... As for altcoins, it will be tough this time if BTC doesn't slow down as it did before...

That's the way how it works every cycle... Bitcoin has all the attention at the moment, but when that fades out, altcoins start to go up...

Hehe I would love to.. But the timing is quite late for Asia.. I have been reading those entries every week when you write. Hopefully one day I can somehow make it!
Exciting to see Grandpa Bitcoin attacking the 50k range again, not so far from its ATH, but at the same time, quite frustrating for us to see Hive still crouch at not even 10% of its ATH :/ I know the alt season usually kicks in with some delay but still... The current difference is way too large for my liking.

I'm not sure that we will see HIVE's ATH ever again as so many things have changed here... Some are good, some not that good, but the reality is that we don't have as many active users as we had back in our "golden days"...
Also, HIVE has many competitors in the social-media sphere (which we didn't have before) that are new, shiny, maybe not better than us, but still, they are taking attention and audience...
On the other side, some projects should be launched this year on HIVE, so who knows what can happen... People are strange... 😃
Yeah, I´m also slowly and unwillingly starting to accept that we might never hit a new ATH again... Looks just too unreal right now. Hopefully, at the least the 1-2 bucks range will be doable for Hive at some point. Btw are you sure Hive had more users back then in late 2021 than it has now? I have no data to prove it but it doesn´t feel like that to me...
I was wrong about the number of active users, but it depends on what kind of "engagement" you count... I went back to history and compared two stats...

Yes, we have more active users in total, but we have very similar engagement on the blogging side... The rest is probably SL and very possible, tons of bots there...
Those who were patient are now getting rewarded and their holdings are going up and if we invest in this project we get a good APR.
I agree, these are still relatively cool moments compared to what's to come and a good time to set up the take-profit strategy for those who didn't. Changing the targets later may prove to be very uninspired given the level of excitement that will most likely cloud judgment at that point. Sometimes it may work, but it's pure gambling, and I am at a stage and situation in life where I prefer less gambling and more calculated moves. Maybe others have the opposite mindset.
You described perfectly how I was doing in 2017-2018... 😂 Maybe it will go a bit more... maybe a bit more... let's wait... lol... and I didn't take any profits... lol... 😂
I believe BTC will be hitting $60k soon probably before this year ends
