Yahjay Greene Arrested for Kidnapping Amongst other Charges

TRAPPE, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with a disturbing home invasion and kidnapping incident that occurred in March.

On March 23rd, at approximately 4 a.m., law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire on Howell Point Road in Trappe. Upon arrival, officers encountered an individual walking along the road who had been forcibly taken from a residence on Main Street, subjected to robbery, and then left to roam by the perpetrators. Despite being held at gunpoint, the victim managed to escape from the vehicle, leading to his subsequent rescue by law enforcement.

Following an extensive investigation, authorities identified 22-year-old Yahjay Greene, a resident of Easton, as a suspect in the case. Greene was located and apprehended in Sykesville, Carroll County, on Thursday, April 25th, after a concerted search effort.

Yahjay Greene now faces a litany of serious charges including home invasion, kidnapping, first-degree assault, robbery, armed robbery, reckless endangerment, theft, firearm use in a felony/violent crime, and conspiracy. He has been remanded to the Talbot County Detention Center without bail pending further legal proceedings.
