It is not the Area it is the planning
My #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay is within Lekki Penninsula
There was approximately about three and half rainfall in Lekki Area of Lagos State Nigeria. It was a bit heavy but I do not really think it should result in this heavy flooding. This heavy flooding is as a result of improper planning of the drainage. One thing I observed is that the drainage is less than 1.5 metre deep and about 0.7 metres wide. Again, another observation is that the drainage is half filled with sand. No proper regular maintenance.

that is a lot of flooding and yes I do agree with you a lot of it is the result of bad planning
