My Savings Journey with Saturday Savers Club: Update #2

This is day 80 since I started this journey, and this is the second time I am making this report. I am taking little steps to build my financial life by being keen on the droplets that can make an ocean by saving something daily. This is not the first time that I am trying this, but it's different this time, and it's working.

By being in a community that fosters financial growth, like Saturday Savers Club (SSC), it's a little easier to be more conscious of my growth and act accordingly. And, with these reports, I get to actually look back and observe. Hence, this is why I would keep making these reports as often as I could.

It's the little things that SSC does that may seem trivial at times that turn out to matter a lot in the long run. I don't always check in with my goals, and so the weekly tags on their update on their members' performances help me be reminded of my goals.

The goal is not just to have a stack of savings, Hive Power (HP), and tokens in my wallet. The goal is to become the kind of person who is conscious of and concerned about their financial well-being. That would consequentially bring me to act like such a person, like putting something aside in savings and always remembering to power up something for the day.

Speaking of powering up, I somehow missed a day in this month of November to power up. It wasn't until the next day that I realised it. It means that I wouldn't get the monthly powerup badge from @hivebuzz this month. I was bummed for a minute, but then I was reminded of the purpose of powering up every day.

The aim is to increase my stake as much as I can, and one way to do that is to power up every day, no matter how little. So missing a day and a badge doesn't imply that I am off track. It matters more that I am still going.

When I started this journey, I wanted to attain 4000 HP, 61 HBD in savings, and 100,000 NEOXAG staked in my hive-engine wallet. Now I have added LEO to the list, and I would like to attain 1,500 LEO at the end of the year. The table above shows just where I got to achieve all that as of October 22nd.

Overall, I am doing pretty okay with my stats. I massively surpassed my HBD expectations, though. It's the conscious decision to put some money aside whenever possible that made that happen anyway. The new goal is to reach 170 HBD. I hope to achieve this by continuing with my daily 0.5 HBD savings for the next thirty days.

I feel really elated to be making headway this time. It's an exciting journey, and I hope to keep going for the longest time. Until next month again, let's see how it goes.
