Monday - Blessings From Our Working Student Before

My grandparents raised me to pray always not only for an emergency need, when we need help most. They taught us how to do good things to the people without any return and let the universe give it back to you. My paternal granny is a devoted Catholic since her father was a Spaniard. My maternal granny is a UCCP, a Christian. They have different religion but raising us in our life with fears doing bad deeds. Sharing and giving when someone needs as long as you have. Do not say you have nothing if you have. It will attract negativity.

When my son was in college, or even in high school, my sister was already assigned in the mountain. That time, my sister had a working student, a high school student until graduated on college. In his college days, he stayed at home with my son. They have good relationship. Sometimes, when he needed money for school and allowance, we gave him. My son just called me and told me that Daniel need money. I gave without any expectation. I was just happy that my son was not alone at home. It was a blessing in disguise. We treated him as a members of the family.

He became a Licensed teacher and he was so grateful to us. Without my sister he couldn't finish his study. This man is also the one who helped building the first high school makeshift made of woods where he studied his high school and my sister was one of the pioneer teachers there in the mountain.

Everytime I spent vacation, she accommodating me like his sister. He is so nice to me and my son and most especially to my sister who support his goal to be a teacher and he did it.

It was not in my mind that he will give me. One morning before the sunrise, I was praying to God. God only knows what I am longing for. Then he called me inquiring about gold. The faculty members of their school want to buy gold from Saudi but I told them I will buy if I will go home but I can't send it through parcel. Then, he told me that he want to give me a gift. I ask him what occasion that he will do it for me.

These are his touching words, " Manang you help me a lot. Before I wanted to give you back but I got big expenses for my wedding and my wife got pregnant in successive years. Now that the girls are already bigger, they are not sickly anymore. This is just the first gift and more next time, he said"

I cried because I was not expecting any return to what I helped to any people I extended my helped. I even forgot those people whom I helped. I am not rich, I have no money but as long that I have, I will never say no or even I will find a way to have it and grant to those who need it. It was during my younger years, Only God counting it and not my desire. As long as I am alive. I trust the process of God to all of us.

Those people who experience like what happened to me, only know the feelings. I just say thank you, Lord! for the blessings you bestow upon us. May God Bless Daniel and his entire family.
