Friday Morning Date With Meme
Meme is the youngest daughter of my boss, she speaks English fluently. She is the main reason why I am still working here.Among the seven children of my boss, she is the most caring and loving person to me and I told you before that she called me Nanay and I was not teaching her to called me like that but she searched it in the internet on how to address a mother in the Philippines. I was surprised when she called me secretly, not infront of her family. We can talk using conversation and I advised her to be a good growing lady. I taught her the basic and useful Filipino habit too. She is so kind hearted girl even from the beginning of her life. I was the one taking care of this child because her parent were spending time in the mainland for breast cancer treatment before. She slept in my side from infant until 10 years. We were separated after her puberty. It is their culture and tradition that even a sibling both girls could not sleep in a single bed. It could be happening when the siblings have a double size bed or the bed must be single size and they have it one by one in one room. My bed is single and not a foam, I don't like bed with foam. I like the native bed made of rattan when I connected her hammock when she was a little girl.
We went to the nearby Coffee Shop and I like the ambiance.
Our instant Date
Friday is a holiday, some establishment are close. When Meme woke up in the morning, she asked permission to go to the new open coffee shop but I refused. I cannot let her go alone though we have surveillance camera reaches the place. Her parent was sleeping and it is my responsibility to stop her. I told her that I must guard her outside so I dressed up quickly and went there.
What a nice place and I wondered they were open. Supposed to be Friday is good for going to the mosque.
There was a man having his coffee ahead of us. Maybe he owned the red car or he is the owner of the shop. I saw him watching movie in his tab.
It's already good this time that women can talk waiter, sales representative, salesman and other men with a purpose. Looking back 20 years ago, they were not allowed to talk stranger men and even close relatives. That is why I decided to guard her outside. They could not go out without male companion before and they were not allowed to go out instead only their father and brother could buy what they needed.
The place is so good for dating couple.
I found out different kind and variety of their blended coffee. They display it infront of the place and I smelled the aroma of the coffee. I remember my grandfather roasting the coffee seeds and I like the smell.
Anyway, I sat down and let Meme sat down too but she told me that she wanted to drink her coffee at home so it shortened our stay and afraid that her parent will know that we went out. It is okay but, we should respect her parent by asking permission to go before leaving the house. They were asleep and we went to a nearby place only. I can reason out.
That's all for today for @asean.hive community and admin and to #hiveph community. Thank you so much!

Yes dong close kayo kaki.
Interesting set of beliefs and practices. It's very much different from how young Filipino girls act in front of family or outside. Good to see you are respected and loved by your "anak" Meme there. It must have been nice to raise her while her parents were away. !PIZZA 🍕
Thank you for dropping by. I appreciated this. Yes, they respect me and I respect them too. I raised my boss children like my own children. They love me kaya nagtagal dito, pero anak ko at apo, diko naalagaan.

That's the reality for many Filipinos working abroad. It's ironic but part of the challenges we have to face in everyday life. Respect to you po. 😊
