Your environment shapes everything that you do.

There is a reason that successful people stick together. Where ever people start their journey they break off into smaller groups over time. Into groups with people of similar interests and views.

Life is like all of those classic American teen movies.

You could pick out most people from an early stage and make a table for each group.

  • Business people.
  • Rich kids.
  • Wasters.
  • Working class.
  • Family first.
  • Vocation.
  • All other groups.

People tend to group with other people of their level.
There is a reason that all those deals are made on the golf course. It's was an exclusive place where people could meet with others of the same social group to make deals that benefit both sides.

Money makes money but it also finds money as well.

It's very hard to be successful if your surrounded by people who have a totally different mentality to your own. Building success requires a lot of time and effort so if your social group spends their time playing video games or out partying then you can't be both. You either find people with the same aims as yourself or you change and adapt to the group around you giving up on other aspirations.

There are always outliers but as a rule you can be judged by the company that you keep.

Look at elite athletes.
They will always say that it's a selfish place to be. To be at the top of your game you need to sacrifice so many other things. Lots of people have the talent to be the best but very few are willing to make it happen as the cost is too high in other areas.

The same goes for business or for life. There is a reason that about 80% of company CEO's are men. It is an all consuming role and family gets in the way of that. You can't run a multi million dollar business and be on call to a family 24/7. It doesn't work and most women aren't willing to sacrifice family for a job. More men are.

There is a reason that Hive has 2M wallets but only 15K active users. Most people aren't willing to put in the work over a long period of time. It's too hard, takes too much effort and you need to sacrifice other interests.

But like everything else in life. The ones who have committed properly have been very successful over time. People complain about voting circles but these are just recognizing others who have been in the trenches with you for years. Bonds are formed and people group with others of the same mentality.

People who have survived bear markets. Have had losses. Who show up every day and grind. People on the same track as you.

That is how success is built.

You're right. The circle jerk is not circle jerking afterall. People form clicks of those they recognize, know and are often keen to be affiliated with people they know and see their posts or comments everyday

It was different in the past where payouts were bought and paid for but these days most people are just in the same social circles. You don't see many new faces on the feed.

You're right. It only shows that most times people needs to put in their interactive skills to work to eventually get connected
