Tribes 3.0. "SPK Network" Breakout communities.

Will we finally see stand alone communities that can be customized, moderated and marketed....

It's what I've wanted to see since we first heard of smart media tokens about 5 years ago.

Reddit communities on web3 steroids. We almost got there with the very first set of h-e communities. Unfortunately they were very expensive, carbon copies of the already poor hive.blog sites, required developer level knowledge to operate and were then swiftly forgotten about once the excitement died down.

Then came tribes 2.0 where they just added nft markets but never added any of the important features needed to make them a viable product. Again, huge potential that was swiftly forgotten about once they had added the latest trend but none of the key features needed to grow the tribes or the overall product.

We have seen Inleo rise out of the shit show into something new and better but this should be the standard for tribes. Not the exception. We can all pump hundreds of thousands into developing a community, hire dozens of devs and try to grow a huge business from scratch.

Not all of us have the time, skills or funds to attack it from this angle.

But all hope is not lost.

Each dapp needs to treat their project as a separate business.
They should be generating revenue, marketing their product and buying hive form the markets to delegate rc as new users come in and create accounts instantly.
If we had ten small dapps doing this right the price of hive would increase, the userbase would increase and the marketing would come naturally as price and activity grows.
For me what we really need are the tools to build these apps without more developers. The ability to create smaller niche sites that a small team can run and grow without writing a line of code.
If i could start a sports site with inleo level specs a team of 5-10 users could have their own business and token adding back value to the whole chain.
A harry potter site.
A man united site.
A meme site.
Whatever your interest is, a chance to build a community around it and generate revenue. Grow these out and those ten sites would equal 100 people marketing the chain from nowhere without the users ever hearing about crypto or hive.
Just come for the fun and earn rewards or ad shares.

Not my first time talking about this subject but i'll keep banging the drum. Especially when i heard from @starkerz that it could finally be on the cards last week.

I do believe that this is exactly what my whole existence has been dedicated to building here on hive for the last 4 years now. we already have the community platforms. tokens to follow soon. light accounts we have them in ceramic. its built. its all there. btc bridge is built so no need for centralised exchanges. onboarding is now easy too, especially with light accounts.
we need a bit of defi building on vsc for liquidity and community run infrastructure so the communities have independence from layer one (SPK Network) and we are almost there.
6 months to a year id say

It all seems to be falling into place but we've been here before.

Then I see a post form @lordbutterfly today on creating his new stand alone community on Hive.

And it seems we might not be that far away from real break away communities. This is still in beta and not for general use yet but as Khal would say. SOON!!!

All you need to do is create a community here on any frontend, get a domain for 1-2 dollars a year on GoDaddy and a 5 dollar a month server on Privex or anywhere else. That took a grand total of 10 minutes to do and basically clicking "yes" a few times.

No Devs.
No huge start up fees.
No shit copy of Hive.blog.

I haven't seen the end result myself yet but if it's done right we could have a game changer. 100 communities trying to market themselves, grow their userbase and generate revenue on Hive.

We could see exponential growth of our userbase and a lot more buying pressure on Hive from the revenue.

I hope that this is done right and lets us take hive to new places.
