Consistency is tough to achieve.

While we all like to think in terms of success and the end result of our efforts, the truth of the matter is that most success is achieved through a slow and steady grind.

There are always exceptions to the rule but for the most part the people that we see at the top of any group are the ones that have worked their way into that position through blood sweat and tears.

Take money, sport, politics, business and any other category that you can think of and who are the big fish in those ponds.

It takes a lot of time and effort.

I would love to achieve that consistency but in all honesty it's not where I would like it to be. Posting often isn't the same as posting consistently. There are three main levels to effort and to get to the top you need to be operating at the top one.

Even in terms of blogging you can break it down into,

• Posting sometimes.
• Posting often.
• Posting consistently.

Having that force of will to be consistent in your effort and build a following. Build connections. Be in the right place at the right time and be ready for all opportunities.

Putting in the hard work and doing it consistently will give you a platform to be successful in this field.

Putting in the work and effort will build a base to be successful in any field.

Even if you can't be consistent, keep building towards that level.

Nobody gets there overnight and even the most hardcore writers and thinkers had to build to that level. It comes from making the choice to do it and will come at the cost of other activities.

There is only so many hours in the day and so to put enough time into the craft you have chosen, you will need to make that time form other places.

Life is busy and for me, i have prioritized other aspects for the moment. Hopefully that will change again as life progresses but it can still be fun without being consuming.
