Blind Date

This weeks topic had me thinking. I had to think way back and hard. First up I could not recall any blind dates or even that many dates LOL. I have only really had 2 serious relationships and they have been long term.

It took a while but them something did spring to mind. when I first moved to Brisbane in Queensland. My mother gave me a phone number she had got from a fiend of hers. First up I thought I would not be following through on somethings my mother had organised for me. I could find my own dates thank you very much!
But after a few days I did call this the number and asked this young lady out, maybe after a drink or two to build up some courage.
I must be getting old as I am struggling to remember much detail but from what I can recall I picked her up from her mothers place in my Toyota corolla car and we had a meal out. A meal and maybe a drive up to some local mountain on the northside of Brisbane. The meal probaby was not anything fancy and we would have gone half with the bill.

The food and conversation was good, meeting somebody new is always exciting, trading some stories and ideas but I never flowed up on it there was no second date.

I am not sure why I do not think I really knew what I was looking for way back then and or I was doing a lot of travel and living away from home work.

I do not have any photos of the date so I included a couple of me from that approximate time period.
