The data they collect about us, even the government, is sold to for-profit companies, so they will always send us advertisements for products and services that sometimes we don't even need. Well used statistics help the government to plan and distribute resources in a better way, but unfortunately this is no longer done. As for the Internet and social networks, every day we see how someone's reputation is destroyed and all because of the overexposure of information and data about them. We must be very careful with the information we give about ourselves in social networks and on the Internet.
