@bscbridge - USE THE NEW FRONT END

avatar

Take a look at the picture.

This is the type of scum that we are up against in the crypto world.

@deathwing and @rishi555 come up with a brilliant new service whereas to make our lives simple, we can convert Hive to BNB and vice versa, have a look at the post HERE

Absolutely awesome and huge thanks and now he even has a front end and smart new UI!

But look at the picture. The actual account is @bscbridge but woe betide you make a miss-spelling especially if your first language isn't English. So many new parasite accounts waiting to snaffle up your Hive and profit from an honest error so please, be careful and use the new front-end rather than manually sending.

It saddens me that lowlife scum like this are holding back the crypto movement with their disgusting behaviour. The few, once again attempting to spoil things for the many.

My question is; What as a community can we do?

Let's finish on a positive note.....

THIS...

IS HOW YOU GET USERS LIKE ME

(Old and punching above their payscale!)

TO GIVE THINGS A TRY AND EXPERIMENT!

It's clean. It's simple. IT WORKS!

THANK-YOU

They are! They don't miss a damn trick, do they?
I just tried to convert some Hive to BNB but there is currently no liquidity! Will give it another shot later and thanks once more :-)

Yeah, hopefully, no one falls into their trap.

Hive > BNB should be fine -- unless you are trying to convert A LOT (over 0.5 BNB, since there's only like 0.7 BNB at the moment) hopefully with more people utilizing each transfer, the max capacity will grow.

This is pretty scummy. They were really first to whip up so many misspelled accounts.

We just keep doing what you did and put'em on blast like that. Good eye dude.

Humans. Don't worry, they'll be all but forgotten in 100 years.

Thanks for this awesome tip! It is pretty sad that people would do that sort of thing. Perhaps in the future projects like this need to claim all of the variants they can think of themselves. It could be a never ending battle though. Probably best to just use the front end like you suggest.

Hey, I wasn't involved in the creation of this at all(other than DW getting stuck with code once and asking me :P).

The recovery account on those is good-karma but that just might be the default for the hive onboarding app.

So who knows.

Thanks for pointing that out Tasky. I just wanted people to take care that's all, it's an old trick but some people are perhaps like me with dyslexic fat fingers!
Crypto can be rather unforgiving sometimes!
Thanks for dropping by and I hope you're staying safe and sane :-)

Doing well thanks.

Yes crypto can be unforgiving sadly. People do not truly understand the idea of abundance and how we are truly entering that arena.

We are going to be a different world, one that is not based upon scarcity.

Yet people still hold onto the same mentality.

Such a sad state of affairs. Why are people like that? Just does not make any sense to me why people are so scammy.

Then again could it be that the person who made all those accounts did so for good reasons? To ensure that the funds go to the right place? It is possible. I know I am not being my usual pessimistic self, but there is that possibility.

My question is; What as a community can we do?

What you're doing... educating people about the scams, is the best we can do for now.

In any system, people are going to find ways to acquire things with the least amount of work. In a system without censorship, you have to let scams like this happen, or you have to start censoring some people. Once you start making rules to protect people from their own mistakes, you start on a slide that never ends. The new rules invevitably limit the freedoms of users who are not 'abusing' the system, and the scammers just find a new scam. If you keep making more rules to eliminate scams, eventually nobody has any freedom left, and scammers are still finding new ways to rip people off.

A certain 'criminal' element is inevitable. While it's important to remain vigilant against these 'bad actors', it's also important to remember that you can NEVER get rid of them, they're just an expression of human nature.
