Honestly we need to start working, it's really imperative for the future of hive. How do we get this proposals going?

First we need to find out who else is dealing with HIVE new exchanges listings. Then we'll get the proposal sorted out but definitely sooner :)

you should check out with crimsonclad, i think she knows what is going on and with what exchanges as she was involved in most of it (as far as i know).

All three of these exchanges are already being pursued. Part of being decentralized the way that we are means that we have much bigger things to surmount than other projects with distinct leadership or tech differences (say, for legal paperwork or for having our asset be able to be 'swappable') do and that's problematic on a few different fronts. As of right now, we're pushing to meet all of the requirements that would make it eligible for us to be listed with these projects. It is not because they have not been looked at :)

Also, Justine and the exchange tech support liaisons have done all the heavy lifting on this. I'm helping in most cases, but am not the reason that we have the big listings we do free of charge, which is why she made the proposal.

Nice to see that you've taking action and nice to see @crimsonclad active on this topic.

@crimsonclad, is there any document of things still needed? I know there are a lot of discords and slacks, but is there any centralized (don't kill me for using this word) doc? I think @nathanmars wants to push it also via twitter.

Thank you

Well, Nathan hates everything that isn't Twitter, so while his efforts there are amazing we can often lose some of the teamwork in translation. Decentralized teams still need aspects of centralization in communication and acceptance of all the available toolsets :)

One of the big things that we need more than anything that people often don't want to hear for the largest exchanges is a higher base level of volume activity- meaning we need more trading/market activity on a daily basis before they will consider us. This is a problem above and beyond a thing that we can just code up and hand to these exchanges- it is something that we need to help foster in the cryptospace through our other efforts that will allow us to then finalize.

One of the biggest ways we can do that is to help showcase the dapps in our ecosystem that allow you to transact via stake above and beyond earning for blogging- which is a great draw for new users but really doesn't represent any need for the token. Speculation volume is driven by exciting things that a token can do, and we're sort of approaching it backwards by building great things and then just hoping someone else outside the ecosystem notices them. It's time we start really working on building excitement and usage of our dapps as their connection to our ecosystem is a good way to start showing people why they need Hive based solutions and directly leads to a need for the token. Here's a helpful little blurb that sort of encapsulates ways we can really start talking about Hive ownership as keys to the entire expanding crypto world:

The Hive blockchain is a fast, feeless, scalable solution for a decentralized web. Investors, developers and end users meet in a robust, engaged community where the HIVE token allows near instantaneous transaction of value and wallet addresses are usernames that unlock an entire ecosystem of services.

For the investor, HIVE is a cryptocurrency unfettered by long wait times or hefty fees- move value quickly without eating into your funds. Three second block times on a network producing some of the highest recorded daily transaction numbers at a minimum resource utilization meet easy to remember customizable wallet addresses, the ability to include end to end encrypted memos with transfers, and multiple options (tiered keys and staking) for holding and accessing funds safely from anywhere.

Hive users and investors can be as hands on or off as they want to be. The keys to a Hive account allow you to: send and receive HIVE tokens and info globally in seconds, for free; own and verify your identity, data, community and social connections without fear of deplatforming across any interface in the ecosystem; post and comment on a censorship resistant, immutable blockchain from a username that can also directly send or receive funds; play games with traceable asset ownership and no gas fees or confirmation waits; participate in Hive governance and development funding, allocation of a shared reward pool, and much more.

The blockchain also has a growing, flexible second layer, with a diverse array of dApps and a burgeoning marketplace for NFTs and contracts. By using the ledger to store social connections or information immutably and cheaply, project owners and developers can build custom games, apps, and solutions to take advantage of the built-in userbase on Hive and the rapidly evolving infrastructure. Investors can use HIVE as a token without needing to participate in anything more than what interests them, or can dive in headfirst to take advantage of all that the Hive network has to offer.

Hive moves value, stores information, powers projects, and in a time where centralized companies can take away the ability to speak AND the ability to monetize, has the potential to lead the decentralization of the web.

Thank you for the reply. It is well summarized what Hive can do. The thing is that exchanges need to understand it and to see the profitability on listing us. Money talks, this is known. Here we need to just do the baisc math on how much would an exchange win from fees.

Also, on some exchanges (I might be wrong), there is this registration fee. Can we use the funds from the proposals to pay this fee?

So far, Hive has paid zero in fees across 19 outside and 2 inner ecosystem exchanges (this is pretty damn incredible, and all thanks to great liaisons). Currently, fees to be listed are not something that is holding us back with the big outstanding guys- in most cases, if the token is active (and here's the rub for us) a lot of work can be done to negotiate down fees if they do exist. We've seen successful proposals where someone pays up front or in part and is reimbursed by the DHF, or a multisig account, so you're entirely right- that absolutely could be done if we did run into a need for it!

Well, I have my own weakness of multitasking and team working. I'm more of individual who like to contribute our HIVE network in my own unique way. Let's put that to one side now. I'm extremely grateful all the work that has done so far with regards to exchange listing. We're in a Crypto bull market and we need to push this together and get it done one by one.

So far it's looks like 4 people are currently working towards/willing to contribute towards a DHF proposal of HIVE new exchange listings.

  1. @zekepickleman said his specialties include digital marketing and copy writing.
  2. @alexvan said he can act as a referee
  3. @crimsonclad currently working towards meeting all the eligible requirements
  4. @nathanmars can contribute

Is there is anyone else currently working or willing work towards HIVE new exchange listings in our community ? Once we know the names, we need to put up a DHF proposal and prioritise this work.

I will tag @theycallmedan @guiltyparties @lukestokes @aggroed @bil.prag

Ps. My intention is only to push HIVE new listing forward

Looking forward to help consolidate data into information and present it to the decision makers at the best exchanges.

What other skillsets will be essential?

Thanks a million for willing to contribute towards this brother.

I'll have conversation with @guiltyparties soon to find out who is currently working on this and where things stands currently. Then we can take action together.

I'm sure as a team we will have all the required skills :)

Thanks for tagging me. Yeah I've been working on these since the start of Hive. It's not easy to get a single listing. Justine did great work to line up most of them and Crimsonclad ended up with much of the burden now. For every listing more than one person is required. Just writing out the answers for AMAs takes time. I can tell you who is doing work and who is not but I won't single out people in the negative here.

In regards to listings in general, we need actions, not a proposal and then work. This includes marketing. Whomever wants to work without being paid for it first, come forward.

You've been a great asset on Twitter btw and you never asked for anything in return. That's the kind we need more of.

I can certainly agree. So far, Me and couple of others are willing contribute towards it. Let's talk on Discord (one on one) first then I'll see who else willing to contribute towards. Because if we never ask we never know that our stake holders will be happy to work on this
