What is YOUR Hive Social Network?

The Hive eco-system is pretty great with all the different Dapps available, but the great thing about Hive is there is also lots more socialising with other Hivers going on too.

We have seen some of the great meetups like HiveFest and currently there is a HiveBeeCon in Krakow. There are many communities and events to join in if you have some matching interests too.

Here are some that I like to be involved with:

Hive Chess Club

The Hive Chess club is where the chess players of Hive meet up once per week, usually on a friday and play chess together for an hour. There has also been some competitions against other clubs too.

We actually have some very high rated players among us and it can be challenging but also good fun. There have also been some rounds with crazy rules that I haven't played before that were also really great to play.

Ecency Discord

The Ecency Discord was one of the first places that I connected with other Hivers on discord and they were very helpful and friendly in helping me to find my way on discord and Hive. For all the Hive communities, there is probably a discord group created where you can hang out and connect with others.

In the Ecency Discord there are usually some friendly Hivers about if you have any questions, plus lots of useful information if you are just starting out, looking for contests or just to find out any news on chain. I like to drop in a couple of times a day to say hello and see whats happening and connect with other Hivers.

Ecency Waves

Since the launch of Ecency Waves, I like to drop in often to see what my fellow Wavers are upto. This is my more goto place than Discord since it launched. It is good to catch up with other onchain and see what is happening.

Since the launch of Decks, we can also see the short form content on LeoThreads and DBuzz. Sometimes I might drop into them if I see something interesting.

Three Tune Tuesday Community

The #ttt community is part of the Hive Music community and we like to make a post once a week with some music that we would like to share with others. It has been great to meet other Hivers and also get some suggestions for new music to listen to from others.

#ttt was started by @ablaze and has been going for over 100 weeks now. There are also prizes to be won and it is good fun to take part. The latest post from @ablaze is here.

Hive Fantasy Football League / KickTipp

If you like to follow some sports and want the chance to win some prizes, there are a couple of competitions being run in the sports communities on Hive. The Hive Fantasy Football League allows you to compete against other Hivers in the league and there is also a head-to-head part too.

This is for the premiership in England and Wales. There is also another community for tipping the Bundesliga called KickTipp and here you can also win some prizes.

I was doing quite well until I forgot the last 2 weeks! Hopefully I can catch up through the rest of the season. I have a strategy that I am following, so hopefully it will pay off.

Liotes

Liotes is a great community that looks to support good content on Hive and has some fun missions or challenges each week and you can climb up the ranking.

I take part in the weekly missions but also support the project ran by @achim03 and @ph1102 with the Our Pick curation project where we look each day for some good content on Hive that we like and share with the community.

The good thing about the project as we are focused on finding good content in any community, so support everyone in Hive, regardless of your Dapp used. We also try to support content producers who make good posts but may be under-rewarded.

Amazing Drinks / Plant Power

Who doesn't like food and drinks? It is the same for me on Hive and it is great to post here and check out others recipes and drinks in these communities for inspiration.

There are some great cooks and it is also fun to take part in some of the activities going on.

Gaming Splinterlands / Gods On Chain

There are some great games on and off Hive and meeting up with other gamers on Hive is great. There are some weekly competitions in the Splinterlands community and also it is good to meet up with other players in tournaments or by joining a Guild.

There are of course other games such as Rising Star and Terracore and it can be a great place to meet others.

I am also active in the Gods On Chain community where we like to share battles, strategies and latest news about the game. Although it is also an NFT game, it isn't on Hive sadly, but we can still make some posts about it in the community.

Saturday Savers Club / Hive Goals

There is also a savers club on Hive called the Saturday Savers Club and this is a great place to catch up and read from others who are stack fiat or HBD or Hive tokens and keep each other motivated.

There are also community activities like Author of the Week and prizes given out to those active in the comments sections. Here we are tracking our savings goal progress and encourging each other on.

Often there will be information about the different income tokens on Hive and you can find out the pros and cons of them here. If you are trying to stack instead of spend, you are in good company here. :)

We Are Alive Tribe / Heartbeat On Hive

I often check out the Alive Chat and Heartbeat on Hive as they have some fun missions where you can engage and also give you lots of competitions and prizes to win. These are ran most days and there is usually plenty of people about to engage with.

One of the competitions I have taken part in is the staking contest to win the ALIVEM token, but there is usally something to do each day.

Summary

Those are some of the many communities and activities on Hive or related with Hive that I try to be active in. With Hive I think there is much more to it once you peel back the layers. It isn't just about blogging (although it can be), there are lots more things going on besides, it is a true social network.

Well there got a long list of communities alright, i guess i lack when it come to connecting with others on discord, but my commenting on hiveblockchain is frequent, maybe i'll look into discord to see if it'll improve my connections

There are some weekly competitions in the Splinterlands community and also it is good to meet up with other players in tournaments or by joining a Guild.

I keep pretty busy within Ecency, Waves and the Shadow Hunters Community and although I try to support some of my favorites with votes I feel bad that I don't have time to be active in more of my favorite communities. I don't know how you do it!

I used to be pretty active in The Terminal Discord server, as it's the first place I joined when I came to Hive. To be honest, I haven't been too active on Discord over the last few months, I should try and get back into it. I also really want to get back into PYPT, and especially Dreemport, I found that a great way to connect with people.

I participate with TTT every week, which I love.

That chess server sounds cool, I've heard about this chess club, but haven't gotten into it. I'm not a great chess player, but I do enjoy playing games of it.

It can be good to have a break now and again. It was quiet over the summer on Discord I think. I try to drop in on the PIMP discord and PYPT is a great show, I wanted to listen yesterday, but then somehow missed it again. Need to set a better reminder. Also with Dreemport is very good and some good people there too.

The Chess is good fun and starts in 10mins :)

Well, well, well.
See this wonderful guy who is almost everywhere. Em wondering how you manage this all.
I hardly find time to play chess because of my study concerns. Ecency discord is one of the best places I find on discord and whenever I find time I go and check there.

The waves feature is wonderful, I just scroll down and see wonderful things sometimes. I mostly struggle to find time to do my daily post on hive.

And somehow I always manage to do so.

Hi my name is Steve and I'm a Hive addict. You are in so many places Steve. That is the beauty of Hive, it does not matter what your interests are or where you are from, there is something for everyone here.

Thanks for the German football mention ... I forget again and again, I think I did the first two weeks and kept forgetting, so as soon as I saw it here, I ran there, filled in the predictions apart from today's match and came back!

You are an inspiration for so many of us as you are a newcomer and have made it right up there and will go higher and higher.

And yes you are social with almost everyone, something many of the elite could well do taking a leaf out of your book.

Well there are worse things that Hive to addicted to. It is fair to say I am in that camp.

Yeah I am all over the place too, but it is fun and there is so much going on. It is like the old sweet counters, the pick n mix, to grab what you fancy!

Yea I have being doing insanely well at fantasy premier league but the kicktipp one I am clueless lol, I just found out Bayern Munich were not top!

I love that there are so many diverse communities on Hive! As of late the majority of my focus is within The Alive Tribe and Ben's @heartbeatonhive, though I so also participate weekly in the Saturday Savers Club posts. You are moon who spreads it's moonlight to everywhere. Means to say that from discord to waves you are everywhere.
Mainly I want to talk about discord, I found amazing communities on discord and I got so much help from other writers and they motivated me also found my errors and corrected me. Thanks to all of them.
Moreover, the most interesting feature of Ecency is for waves.

Nice to see you are plugged into so many great communities. Ones that I quite like are saturday savers club, wednesday walk and pinmapple/travel. I find wednesday walk particularly interesting as you sort of get a slice of what everyone is doing from around the world on a typical wednesday - its great to get an insight into all those different parts of the world !
