ThreeTuneTuesday - I'm Sinking Deep, I'm Going Under

Hello Hive Music Lovers!,

Welcome to another #threetunetuesday created originally by @ablaze.

This week I bring you probably the best song that I know of about an iceberg lettuce. What with all the turbulence in the market, these 3 great tunes from the under-rated Lightning Seeds should cheer you up and get you hopping.

But first, for those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday.... to quote @ablaze :

The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize.

Although the first song is about some sort of relationship break up, the song has an uplifting beat to it and you can't help bopping along over the catastrophic consequences of a relationship coming to a terrible end.

In the crypto markets, it seems like we have hit an iceberg and we are sinking deep and some think we might go under. However, when listening to this song, I feel pretty good about it.

The first tune is Sugar Coated Iceberg Lettuce. Probably my favorite or equal favorite Lightning Seeds tune.

Next up, is a very iconic song from the mid-90s. The song is called Change and although the song sings about not changing. Perhaps we need to think about changing and adapting to things as they happen.

The final tune is then my real favorite from The Lightning Seeds. It is memorable to me as they used the tune on Match of the Day Goal of the Season. As a big footy fan back in the day, MoTD with Des was a staple for me, preferably up the pub!

Even looking back at that old video, with the music brings back some great memories and I know every generation says it, but you can't beat the footy back from the Golden Generation. The players, managers, presenters and commentators really wrapped up a great package that they just can't reproduce for me today. Particularly, Lineker was no replacement for old Des back in the day.

The final tune is Riley. Probably the best football track ever made. The Life of Riley usually means to live a luxourious, carefree life. As we had a buddy called O'Riley, we would often say to live the life of O'Riley instead. He was a good looking chap who the ladies loved, so it was indeed good for him. lol

The winner from last week's 5 LEN token giveaway was @treefrognada Congratulations!

My favourite is the second track about change. I like the background beats and their carefree attitude. Good packaging.

Never heard of this band but it has a fine and harmonious sound. My favorite is the second song.

A good choice, they have a number of hits, but are under rated I think!

That would make sense because I knew only 3 or 4 songs lucky you, pure and one more.

Thank you for the LEN tokens! !LUV

I'd never heard of the Lightning Seeds before, so I can't claim to have a favourite tune. It's a good name though! Of the three here, I think Change appealed to me most, and the first one had quite a funny video.

As you must have gathered by now, I am not spending a lot of my time on music. But when I do listen, it's all on, not background. I think I'm slowly gathering together 3 songs I like which has some kind of connection to each other... but can I post them to the ttt any week or are there themes for every week to follow? Yeah, I could look this up for myself, but a personal answer sticks better in the brain, I think :)

The rules are that there are no rules really. @ablaze just asks to tag him so he can find your post and you can choose 3 tunes that you like with what connection you can think of. Be sure to use the tags #ttt and #threetunetuesday too :)

I look forward to seeing your ttt post and your selection :)

Oh, and there are prizes too from the winner chosen by @ablaze each week

Thanks! Then I just have to wait for the third tune to turn up. I can hear it in my head, almost hear the words, but not describe or hum it well enough to any of my musically minded friends so they can tell me the name of it. And hope I don't forget the first two in the meantime. 😹

You could have done "My heart will go on" from Titanic since we all know how that one ended! :) Great stuff. I have never heard of this band, so I am going to have to dig into it more. I am keeping a promise I made to my niece last night with my listening right now. She told me to check out Daniel Ceasar.

haha hopefully we will survive the latest move down. I am not a fan of those titanic songs, that was pure agony when that was top of the charts. I will have to check out Daniel Ceasar too since you mention it. Have a great #ttt.

I've not heard of these chaps before, but I was hooked by the first video in an ice hockey arena. The location itself brought me back to my youth, for better or worse. 😆

I really enjoyed the third song, The Life of Riley, too, even though through it all I was thinking I need to search youtube for soccer fails.

Soccer fails?! lol I hope you resisted the temptation. Thanks for checking them out.

I hadnt heard the first two tunes before, but do know their stuff seeing as they are a british band. I always did find them a bit odd because they are trying to give of the Madchester scene vibes, but their music does not fit that genre - its too poppy/happy. But Ian Brodie can clearly sing !

Yeah, it is an interesting combination. I am glad they had some success though.

All good tunes these, I would not really know The Lightning Seeds, but do recognise all of the tunes.

The final tune is then my real favorite from The Lightning Seeds. It is memorable to me as they used the tune on Match of the Day Goal of the Season. As a big footy fan back in the day, MoTD with Des was a staple for me, preferably up the pub!

Ah yes, a classic! Are you not a football fan anymore then or just less so as life got busier? Great song this one in fariness. Some proper crackers in that reel and some howlers too and that dog!! Ha ha

As for the Crypto markets, jeepers, I'm afraid to even look!!

As a kid I was a huge Liverpool fan. Mostly since starting a family it has faded away with lack of time and the interest is not there like it used to be. Although I am thinking to join a local club to have a kick around as I do miss the 5 a side leagues we used to do.

Ya the 5 asides are brilliant fun and I played for years, but I started picking up a few injuries and it was affecting my golf game!! So, I am officially retired for now!
