It's not a very famous place, that's why it's not so touristy, which is a good thing. Although it seems to pick up a little now that more people know about it, but in the winter, it's very quiet. The people were more genuine too, unlike where we live, because Playa del Carmen doesn't really have locals, since it's such a young city, so everyone is from somewhere else, even the Mexicans.
But Holbox is now definitely one of my favorite places in the area. It had such a laidback beach vibe. I loved it. Definitely recommended if you ever come this way!
