Hello Gods Unchained Fans,

This week the new set A Tide of Fate has started and we now need to think how to get a hold of the best cards and how and what to craft. I am not really a good crafter, so will probably buy what I need from the market. We also need to choose our faction.

After checking with @shawnnft , I decided to go for Sartonian and will see how that works out. Once you choose your faction, you should receive 2 free legendaries.

I could so far only see Zaskia in my wallet, so I am not sure when I would get Glinn also.

The packs went on sale and there were 4 choices available, unless you spent $100, you don't really have much chance to get any decent cards and a very very slim chance of getting any legendary. However, I bought my first pack the Crystal Booster pack for 15 GODS and was happy with my pull.

I didn't put them into any deck yet, I think I will need to get a few more before they might be useful. The alternative to buying is to try and get Fate packs through sealed game mode and you can also win them in the weekend ranking. More about my weekend ranking below.

In my last update 2 weeks ago, I was playing with a slightly tweaked Aggro War deck, in the meantime, I experimented with a Midrange War deck with not so good results and during the weekend ranked, fell back onto my Aggro War deck, but I made a few more tweaks to it and am happy with it again.

My war deck is worth only $2,57 with the changes. I am not sure if that is just the falling card values or just cheap cards! 😅

Out goes Woodcutter Imp who I added last time and in comes the Deadly Arsenal buff. My thoughts are also to swap Strix Conscript out for something more powerful at 3 mana... but I still didn't find anything yet!

Today's Battle - War Aggro

In this week's battle, I manage to dispose of a light deck.

1 Mana

I skip the first turn. My opponent buffs his deck.

2 Mana

I play Strix Conscript. Out come the Acolytes.

3 Mana

I bring out the Tavern Brawler and buff Strix Conscript. Nice 6 attack on my opponent. They manage to take him out though. I need more health buff in my deck.

4 Mana

Time for the Mountain Watcher. My opponent summons more Acolytes!

5 Mana

Time for the Guild Enforcer! Out come the Acolytes from my opponent.

5.5 Mana

I play another Strix Conscript and go for the attack on his god. He then buffs with protected and frontline!! It is time for Lykaios who can remove all their protected, but does buff them as a drawback. My time is running low though and I don't get all the attack on my opponent as I should do. Sometimes these animations run really slow. This costs me dearly as my frontline is then wiped out and could have possibly survived.

6 Mana

It's all over for my opponent though as I bring out the Redfume Serum and buff the hell out of Strix!

Summary

I mentioned that I was struggling against magic decks before, but I have been able to slay a few recently which is good news. They can be a real pain these magic decks and it would be good if they would lose their meta a little.

So far the win rate is impressive, but its still a low amount of gains in the lower leagues plus I will be making some changes too.

My weekend ranking results have improved a little with 10 from 18, but it should have been higher if I was fully concentrating on a couple of games. I was 3 wins away from Fate packs and really need to up my game for this weekend.

Since my last update, I have now reached level 254(+10) and have 114(+2) shadow cards and 464(+11) meteorite cards. My collection value has increased and is worth 3766 (3618) GODS tokens and value in fiat of $755($509) which has increased massively!

I don't know if some of the card valuations are too high and not realistic and also the pump in ETH recently could also be a reason. I have also been trying to sell some cards that I don't use from Magic and Deception, but now only have some common cards left for a few cents and don't think it is worth the effort anymore.
