Fixing the trampoline to the ground to stop it blowing away.

Happy Father's Day everyone!

Today I had a great Father's Day and I thought I might share some of it with you. After a lovely lunch, we decided to spend some time in the garden and as we have some visitors coming on the weekend, it would also be a good time to setup the trampoline. My son was very happy and excited about this and wanted to give me a hand.

Together we built the trampoline and he was very interested in its construction. First he put the main frame together in a circle and was helping when I added the legs to it. After we then attached the mat with the springs and he also managed to put a couple on for himself too.

This did take quite some energy though and we needed a good pit stop and drank our homemade strawberry slushies to recharge our energy. They were very cool and refreshing so this helped in cooling us down. Whilst drinking our slushies, we also listened to some music and looked at some tools we would use to attach the poles for the netting.

Most of all he was interested in the big hammer for the pegs to hold the frame steady though and wanted to give things a bang here and there. Once the poles were all screwed in, we could then put the cover for the springs and netting on. In between, the trampoline was tested to ensure it was working.

In the end, it was all finished and we placed it in the corner and fixed it to the ground with some metal pegs that I have. The kids then played the game "You throw the ball to me in the trampoline", which is a favorite of theirs.

Mission accomplished and some good family time in the garden.

Thanks for reading.

Looks like it was a really great day. I remember playing on other people's trampolines when I was a kid. We never had one ourselves. There was always talk about us getting a pool, but that never really happened either. I think because we were always camping so much.

It has been a fun day, I managed to cut my finger with a bit of blood flowing building the trampoline, then it went better when I put the gloves on! lol

I don't remember that we had a trampoline when I was younger, although I am sure I would have been happy to have one.

My wife would like me to build a pool in the garden, but I don't want the extra maintenance tasks, i already struggle to cope as it is. lol

It's not a proper job until at least a little bit of blood has been drawn for me!

I guess you are jumping now through your day? 😉 I was in a trampoline studio last year and I didn't expect it would be that exhausting. But it was a lot of fun too.

😅 It has given me a spring in my step for sure! I am doing my daily high impace routine and I feel it is working out well, not sure to add a trampoline workout to the routine though. lol

Happy father's Day.
I almost forgot about that day. Although for me it's like a regular day. But I appreciate how you enjoyed the day.

You made a much better decision than me when building your trampoline by doing it with your son. I did it with my wife, and we nearly ended up divorced !
