5 minute freewrite Sunday prompt passion
This is my prompt for #freewriters Sunday prompt passion hosted by @dailey.prompt
My daughter came to our house this morning and said that not far from our driveway is a bicycle that looks like it was hit by a car.
She said there is a tackle box in our driveway smashed
Then she tells me she thinks it got hit in our driveway and drug out the end and 75 yards around the corner.
My husband went down there to see what was going on. When he came back he said he was going to call the law because someone could be hurt. They said they will send one when one comes available. An hour and a half later he shows up.
He had no clue as to what happened and without a body to be found, he was not interested. He told my husband he could call Road and Bridge to come to get it but my husband said can't we move it out of the road if someone does not come to get it in a couple of days, he will haul it to the scrapyard. This is what they did.
There is a fishing pole on the bike. I hope someone does not take it. My son was not home so I texted him to see if he knew anything. I should have thought of that first.
He told me that he had a flat on his bike yesterday and Lisa let him use her bike and she was to pick it up this morning, he left it halfway down our driveway so no one would see it to steal.
He had not talked to Lisa but he thinks that she must have pulled down to the bike and loaded it in the back of her jeep. She has a passion for fishing and carries a rod and reel with her all of the time. She might have put the rod on top of the bike and tied it to keep it from either falling out or getting broken.
Now she might not have wanted to turn around at our house that early in the morning so she backed out not knowing the bike fell out. In the picture with the tracks it looks like she backed out and then turned left down the back road, the bike is laying not far from here.
This is all speculation, my son said his phone was on 4% so I can not contact him to see what he found out.

@scribblingramma As it turns out, it was not the bike that my son left for the girl to pick up but the bike from someone else that was helping her. This is what I was told, he was helping her load the bike and forgot he did not ride with her but parked his bike behind her jeep and when they loaded hers he got in the jeep. They drug it going backward for a good 600 yards. Of course, I could not get any answers to my many questions like why were they picking it up between 3am and 6am, why did they leave it in the road with the fishing pole still on it, 2 days later it is still there and they have not come back for anything. Sorry, I have no real answers and think what I got is all I am going to get from him.
Maybe there are some things we are better off not knowing....
I am sure there are a lot of things that I do not know. :(
