5 minute freewrite 2358 prompt no border

For years now I have told my husband I do not want to hear about what is going on in the news, it is always bad. But every morning when he wakes he sits at his computer and reads the news. No matter how many times I say "I DO NOT WHAT TO HEAR IT" he still has to tell me what he is reading.

I don't mind if it is good news but that it is never the case, I do not want to hear about politics, wars, or ANY types of people killing people and these are the things he seems to find the need to repeat to me. Just now he is reading something and telling me about it. I am getting good at hearing him but also blocking out what he is saying.

This is what I do not understand, here in the USA people are raising hell when it comes to abortion, even if having to have one will save the woman's life. What if she has other children, does it matter if they could lose their mother? Don't get me wrong I am not talking about late term abortion with no medical reason, I believe this is wrong, if you are going to carry a baby that long, then it should be birthed and given to someone who wants it.

They say you are killing a child, how many children have been killed in wars? These same people see nothing wrong with killing a Palestinian child or even a Russian child. Does it make it right because they were not born in Israel or Ukraine or wherever war is at? Bombing cities is wrong, in war if they feel the need to bomb, why can't they bomb government places or military bases and leave people's homes out of it?

In the USA we are supposed to have freedom of speech, but when people want to protest a war that the US does not support, they are arrested. As long as it is a peaceful protest is this right? Is this what America has become?

Wouldn't it be better if there was no border, to let people of all races and religions come and go as they please? We preach that we are all brothers and sisters and to love each other, I know brothers and sisters argue but they do not go around bombing each other's homes and killing their nieces and nephews.

The end of my rant, I am sure I upset some of you but this is how I feel and here on Hive, as far as I know, I still have freedom of speech.
