My husband was moving some of the garden pots and yelled to me, come look at this, I think it is a leech, I said I thought leeches lived in the water. I took a picture and did the Google Lens thing and the best we can tell, it is a Platydemus. A few weeks ago when we went fishing for freshwater catfish I gathered some worms to fish with and found one of these but it was much bigger than this one, I thought it was a different breed of worm, but nothing would bite it and I felt bad that I killed it for no reason. But after reading about Platydemus I found out they are not a consumer of blood like a leech, they are an invasive species from Korea and they eat earthworms, so now I do not feel bad about killing it and wish that I would have killed this one.

I took my slickers out of the dry box on my boat and could not believe how moldy they looked, the last time I wore them was in November. I can not wear them looking like that so I filled a tub with bleach water and let them soak for a couple of hours and then took a scrub brush to them.

This is much better.

By not using my truck much a rat decided it was a good place to build its nest or nests, I found two of them, one was in my glovebox and the other was under my back seat. It or they shredded my puzzle book, too. I am glad that I had my new registration in the house because she also shredded the old one that was in the glovebox. I took everything out of my truck and vacuumed all of the old rat droppings I did not see anything that looked new so I am hoping they moved on, I then sprayed it with some good smelly stuff. I also checked under the hood because a while back one had a nest there too but this time there was no nest.

I had a brake light out and found an extra bulb in the glovebox so decided to change it but it was the wrong kind of bulb, my husband went to the auto store and bought me two new ones, for a package of two they now charge 8 dollars, the last time I bought a package they were less than 2 dollars. He said it is a good thing it does not take halogen bulbs, they are 22 dollars for two.

My truck had two fuel tanks but the bigger one had a leak so I could only use the small tank it only holds 10 gallons so I fill a gas can with diesel and when I get low I siphon it into the truck, it usually works without a problem but this time it kept losing siphon and I got tired of climbing in and out of the truck bed so I tried staying in the bed and leaning over the side to siphon, I snorted a nose full of diesel, so that did not work, I had to climb back to the ground and siphon it that way.

My brake light is now working and I am happy, happy, happy that my work for today is done. All I needed to do was gather food for Rudy and write this.
