5 Minute freewrite 2264 prompt PEEL

My husband has been wanting an electric bike and one came up for sale in our town. He has been looking at them and saving for one for months but always backed out before even asking if he could see it.

When this one was posted, I told him that he never goes anywhere and he never buys anything for himself and I was going to be pissed if he did not go look at it and if he liked it he should buy it.

The guy who owned it said he paid 750 for it and he was out front with my husband, I was on the patio with his wife. We hear Bonnie, you need to come out here. We went out there and he said "What price did you put on this bike?" she said 500 or best offer. He says, he has offered 450 and she held her hand out and told my husband it was his.

Driving home my husband told me what happened, he offered 450 and the guy said he wanted 600 for it, my husband told him it was listed at 500 and you want 600, you can keep it. That is when he called his wife to come out there.

When we got to our mailbox at the end of the driveway my husband stopped the truck and told me to get out, we got the bike out of the back of the truck and he showed me what to do, I did not PEEL out, but I took off faster than I wanted to go and I was screaming, you did not show me how to stop. I tried to turn around and going that fast I misjudged the room I had to turn and went into the soft sand and wrecked his new bike, luckily it did not hurt it, or me, I jumped and landed on my feet, just a little dirt in the handle bar things on the side that hit the ground.

He bought a little mirror to go on it

And put this milk crate on to carry his shoes, he is always barefoot and needs shoes to go to the stores.

He rode it to Home Depot and bought potting soil and a bag of mulch. He told me he has not been this excited about a new bike since he was 10 years old.

I ordered a harness for Rudy so I can take him outside, he has never been out there and I thought it would be nice to let him see another side of the world. I think he has to do some more growing for it to fit. I bought the extra small.
