This is my post for #freewriters 2236 prompt do not insert fingers! hosted by @mariannewest and @daily.prompt

The first picture is what we call a horny toad, like this pic, it is a type of blowfish. I am very careful when unhooking them, their mouths might be small but they could easily take a chunk out of your hand.

This is a stone crab, it is one of the powerful crabs that we have in our river. I use tongs to pick them up and if they ever clamp down on the tongs, it is almost impossible to get them to let go.

A trout has teeth but they are one of the less painful bites, they leave small holes in your hand. I just noticed that this one threw its stomach up.

You would think that since a shark is small it could not hurt like a bigger shark but they can take your finger off so do not insert fingers!.

image.png
This is what a bigger shark can do with one bite, it amazes me that when one cuts a fish on my line, I never feel it, it is that clean of a cut.

image.png
Once in a while, I will catch an eel in my pigfish traps, I hate them and try to keep my fingers away from their mouth, all they want to do is bite me.
image.png
When unhooking a sailcat, I grab them by the bottom jaw. They do not have teeth but they have something that feels like sandpaper and when they close their mouth and go to trying to shake their head, they can rub you raw.

A bluefish has teeth as sharp as a shark, it is another fish that can take your fingers off. In north Florida, there is a beach that has big bluefish come ashore and many people have had chunks taken from them when the bluefish bite.
photos are mine

Sharks are dangerous fish, they can bite, and it's dangerous to insert our fingers in their mouths, they're so many fish you catch, i admire your post.

Thank you, I do not fish as much as I used to, but yes I have caught a lot of fish, my husband and I used to shark fish, but we no longer fish in the ocean.
