5 minute freewrite 2231 prompt no safety belt

This is my post for #freewriters 2231 prompt no seat belt hosted by @mariannewest and @daily.prompt

My husband was great at building boats, he had no other plan than that, that was in his head. This boat was the fifth or sixth that he had built. I am glad that he got better with time because his first boat would throw you out of it when you turned in one direction.

He wanted a boat with a motor in the front of it for catching mullet. Mullet like to stay in shallow water and with the motor up front, you could run in a lot of shallower water.

The problem with it was when you ran it you stood on the bow and there was no safety belt.

It did not take him long to figure out that he needed some sort of safety device and he built this railing on it. I was glad he did this because one day when I was using it and went back into the south hole of the Big Sleuth, I threw my buoy to run the net out, and when I corkscrewed it down the motor got stuck in the mud and the stern came swinging around like I was on a carnival ride. I was holding onto this railing as tight as I could to keep from being slung off of the boat.
