This is my post for #freewriters 2228 prompt constitutional crisis hosted by @mariannewest and @daily.prompt

My husband has not been able to go fishing since he caught his good catch, the wind has been blowing, but of course, it is going to be calm tomorrow, which is Thanksgiving.

We are both going to go fishing. This is the bad side of fishing, you have to be there when the fish are there no matter what holiday it is. I do not know how many times on Christmas we had to fish, back then we could not pass up a 2 to 3 thousand dollar paycheck when we had 5 children to feed.

Since the wind was blowing, my husband wanted to go to the beach to get sandfleas, we waited until the tide was right and went over there. The first beach we went to only had small fleas so we went on north.

At the next beach, I took my rake with me when I went down to the beach, it had a lot of fleas. I made 2 pulls in them and I could see them running through my rake but I did catch some. I went back to the truck to show my husband and he was not impressed, he said there were not enough bigger fleas in them.

We were headed to Marks Landing and up ahead of us we saw a big raccoon and a baby run across the road, there was a man crossing the road on a bike but he stopped in the middle of the road. He was trying to herd two more babies to their mama but all they wanted to do was hide next to his bike tire. The man was straddling his bike walking it trying to get them to follow him but they kept lying down by it. He would have been better off trying to herd a bunch of politicians during a constitutional crisis.

My husband put his emergency flashers on and got out of the truck, he walked over to the guy on the bike and reached down and picked up both baby coons, and carried them off of the road to their mama. I was trying to get the camera to come up on my phone but by the time I got it where I could take a picture, he was already letting them go.

We recently had a lot of rain and wind that lasted a week and it took away most of the sand that they pump onto the beach, I took these two pictures today, look at the color of the water, that is all of the sand that is getting washed out and covering the reef. You can see the water without sand in it way offshore.

photos are mine
