5 minute freewrite 2220 prompt just below the summit

This is my post for @freewriters 2220 prompt just below the summit hosted by @mariannewest and @dauly.prompt

Miss Duck, I have a surprise for you
this is our new car
Miss Duck stared at the little red car
it had long eyelashes
that would turn everyones head.

She knew it would make it to the summit.
A place she longed to go
before she became a muppet.

She was so happy when her owner
set her on the dash.
It was happening they
would be there in a flash.

The road was longer than Miss Duck had heard
the potholes were many and the fog getting thick.
Little Red said it was not fog but clouds
that make it hard to see,
can you hear me Duckie or should
I let you be?

Miss Duck has never had anyone but her owner speak to her she was shocked
she could jump with joy.
Little Red do you know how far we have to go? said Miss Duck
Miss Duck, I can not answer now
things are not great.
I wish you could tell your owner
to use the brake.

The Little Red had to keep blinking
to keep her headlights clear
she hoped the summit was near.

She did not answer Miss Duck,
her mind on the road
It has become most bumpy

But as she tried her best she
worried her tires were
being put to the test,
The air seemed low
She told Miss Duck

How am I going to tell my owner
if she doesn't stop to change the tire
we will surely be stuck.

Little Red tried to help my owner
stay on the road.
just below the summit
The tire was blown.

We rolled to a stop but we were not at the top.
Now my owner can hear me
and little Red, too.
