5 minute freewrite 2195 prompt her name was faith

This is my post for #freewriters 2195 prompt her name was faith hosted by @mariannewest and @daily.prompt

All of her life she has had Faith, not to say her name was Faith. She had Faith, she tried her best to hold onto it.

Faith that her parents would always be together, Faith that when her mother moved out of the house and into a trailer across the road she would always be there. She had Faith that her childhood home would always be her home, she never dreamed that it could be taken away by the State and turned into a State park. None of these came true and as a child, she questioned her Faith but did not lose it.

When the family moved to Missouri she did not like it but she had Faith that one day she would be back in her home state, it took her 7 years before she could do this but she never lost her Faith that it would happen.

She met the love of her life and had Faith that they would always be together, they are going on 38 years and her Faith in this is stronger than ever.

They fished together and she loved her job, she had Faith that fishing would always be what they did. The State passed a ban on the way they fished, but their Faith was strong that they would stay fishing, they had to change their way and types of fishing but they are still doing it.

Two hurricanes destroyed the home that they raised their kids in and with the insurance money, they were able to build it back the way she always dreamed it could be, and she had Faith that it would be their forever home. They did not live in it long, just a few months and they got a letter from the County saying they were taking the house to build a road, they called it Eminent Domain. Her Faith was crushed but she had Faith that they would find something better.

Now the area where her beloved home was is highly developed and she lives on 2 acres surrounded by woods she feels Blessed that she was made to move and to have held onto her Faith.

We go through things in life that make us question our Faith, holding onto it can be very hard to do, keeping it and staying strong is the key to having the life that you want to have. It does not always work out the way you see it working out, it can work out better than you saw it.
